It's actually a distortion of the original word during its translation into English, the original word means murder and not kill. If it's kill then it would be extended to only humans but thou shall not murder is extended even to animals.

You are right so far but you missed the killing that arises out of "self defense" which is lawful as you see that the God did not complain nor condemn Isreal when they killed in self defence.

Right. Killing is not the same as murder. Thus, the true Law means that "Thou shalt not murder"

However, we are commanded to eat the flesh of animals and further, commanded to kill the animal to eat it and not to eat it if the animal died before killing.

So, killing of animals for meat is lawful

"They shall suffer many many things" already tells you that they were chosen to for a mission like Joshua's 12 were chosen for a mission.

And their mission included in prisononment and death just like He and the prophets had in their own missions.

David Killed Golaith and he was still a man after God's own heart. Jesus healed the Centurions servant.. a centurion is a leader of a 100 Soldiers...not once did Jesus condemn him.

Jesus was a pacifist because the kingdom he was seeking to establish was not a physical territorial kingdom that did not require taking over of physical territories so the weapons were not carnal.

But, they must be within the Law which is why you see Isreal never attacked first, they only retaliated after first being recipients of attack

Murder is a mode of killing. God permitted man to kill for food.

And this is where those who kill for the sakes of killing like oyibo who kill for sport or like we used to do when we killed lizards or chicks, birds etc break the Law.

He said it clearly...that he was an anointed one.

Now in the game of power, it was a smart move. If David had killed Saul, he would have opened the karmic doors for others to kill him on the throne as well...and would have had the question of legitimacy.

Saul was no ordinary enemy. He was the King, and he was his father in law as well.

He was not an enemy soldier.
