Let the fuel price go down.

All they want is a NIGERIA that is working.

But you're saying it's producing 125k bpd!... That is the installed capacity, not the operating capacity, I doubt it it has ever produced up to it's installed capacity since when it was commissioned, not to mention now that the technology behind the refinery is very old.

My theory is that the reason all the refinery are suddenly working now is because of subsidy removal. Who need refinery when you can just lie about your imports, and scam the government of subsidy.

What the government needs to focus on is improving the power sector and agriculture.

You must have heard the World Bank's report explaining why they won’t lend to or support the Nigerian government, it’s because most funds go into subsidies, which lack transparency. The refinery is operational now because subsidies are gone. Saboteurs can’t disrupt Dangote's refinery since it’s privately owned. The solution is to ensure other refineries are functional so they can foster competition.

Bro, we don’t have to like the government, but we shouldn’t let emotions cloud our judgment on every issue.

I don’t understand you.

Do you mean to say the refineries are not working and that NNPC is importing fuel, taking it to the refinery, pumping it out, all in a bid to compete with Dangote?

In October, NNPC stated that they will commission it in 2025 mid-year.

So I’m pretty sure they will commission this very soon ahead of schedule.

They will probably start the test run since it’s not 100% fully completed. Not sure why Channels TV said it’s live.

But there will be clarity in the next few days.
