For eight years that Buhari was in office, he could not get the Port Harcourt and Warri Refineries working, yet el-Rufai was singing his praises all that time.

And now that President Tinubu has gotten both the Port Harcourt and Warri refineries working in just a year, el-Rufai attacks him and accuses him of Yorubanisation of NNPC?

First of all, that accusation is blatantly false. It is the same lies that el-Rufai used to turn the North against former President Jonathan. In reality, the South-South dominates in the NNPC board and Petroleum Ministry, followed by the Northwest.

But, let us even agree with el-Rufai and say that it is true for the sake of argument. If Yorubanisation can bring dead refineries back to life, then there should be more Yorubanisation!

Gone are the days of fuel scarcity. We now have the product in abundance and are even exporting to Europe and the Middle East. I like that type of Yorubanisation.

There is no proof the PH refinery is working and the only working refinery in Nigeria which is Dangote is heavily being sabotaged by Yoruabanization cabal ..if not for the interest of this cabal in Petro would be at most 650 today

If marketers are not pleased with the price of refined fuel produced locally they should be free to import, it is a free market

Is it about being pleased or about reducing pressure on forex. Was the aim of functioning refinery not to relieve pressure and conserve foreign exchange.

What's with all this noise about our refineries working when the effects are not being positively felt by the common man?

The pump price of petrol is five to six times higher than when our refineries are not working.

When Nigeria stopped importation of rice. Rice farmers came together and increased the price from 10,000 naira per bag to 30,000 naira plus, and now 100,000 naira per bag.

CBN can never give any oil marketer forex to import refined oil because it is no longer necessary. If you're importing, you source for your forex.
