This is just few years ago when we had a good economy, when naira still had value, you can buy plenty foodstuff with just 2k, but today the story is different due to the bad policies of successive administrations.

As we enter 2025, let's hope that there will be a little turnaround, Nigerians are really suffering and we should not pretend about it, hunger knows no tribe and religion.

Stop defending government officials because they are from your tribe whether you are hausa, Igbo, Yoruba etc, we all go to the same market

Be patriotic and truthful

Nigeria was only good perhaps before 1979, since then its been spiralling downwards steadily, but lazy us, we were suffering and smiling while everything rots away...steel companies, nitel, nigerian airways, railway, health and educational institutions...etc
Do you remember the economic recession of 2013 or so when prices of crude oil dropped drastically? That was just the little eye opener we had on the state of our economy.
A country of 250 million and what is our GDP without crude oil? 250 million almajiris who know how to produce nothing tangible but want the best things in life.
Apologies to the hard working productive ones.

Nigeria of today is worse in almost every aspect.

The present government has made living a hellish task for the citizens and we still have some dumb fellows who don't see any wrong in all these just because they are getting something directly or indirectly from those in power.

The fear now is that it will only get worse. The last administration used 8yrs promising heaven on earth but we all saw how it ended so this administration won't be any different too.

UTTER RUBBISH.

''No more this, no more that.''

ARE YOU EVERYWHERE IN NIGERIA TO KNOW WHAT IS HAPPENING IN EVERY STATE?

How many states did you visit this year?

1?

0?

Negative-minded oaf.

USE YOUR DAMN BRAIN.

WE HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO END FUEL SUBSIDIES.

WE ARE NOW SEEING THE BENEFITS OF THAT PLAY OUT.

THE REFINERIES ARE ROARING BACK TO LIFE AFTER DECADES OF INACTIVITY.

FUEL PRICE IS COMING DOWN, BUT WITHOUT SUBSIDIES, SAVING US OVER 10 BILLION DOLLARS A YEAR, WHICH IS BEING CHANNELLED INTO DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMMES.

FEDERAL ALLOCATION TO THE STATES HAS QUADRUPLED.

THAT'S HOW YOU BUILD THE COUNTRY!!!!!!

THE SO-CALLED ''GOOD TIMES'' WERE FUEL SUBSIDY-BASED.

IT WAS AN ILLUSION.

NOW WE WILL WITNESS PROPER GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT WITHOUT THE FG HAVING TO USE NEARLY HALF ITS INCOME TO PAY FUEL COSTS FOR EVERYBODY.

Re: Nigeria Of Yesterday And Today In Pictures by trium: 2:37am On Dec 31, 2024
APC is not anything progressive. Buhari took us back to 84 and Tinubu took us to 1976. That's why he went back to Obasanjo's first term when he changed the national anthem. Give APC more terms and they'll take us back to pre independence. If you think I'm joking, look at the bromance with France and how the politicians are behaving. THEY want the citizens to be paupers and depend on palliatives. Nigerians are now hungry and poverty had been weaponised to enslave them. How many years did you fight before the British gave you independence? That's exactly where APC is taking us to

Nigeria was doing relatively well until the evil called APC unfortunately entered its national life in 2015. It will never be well with anyone that has a hand in enthroning this evil.

Yes. I have bought very big bread in Nigeria for 10 naira and the smallest one then was 1 naira.
8 pieces of big kulikuli was 25kobo. Take 1naira to market and you will eat breakfast.

Mama for angle then, we buy 5naira food for joint, you will eat breakfast and keep for lunch sef.
Those ones up there are in year 2000s.
Nigeria can never go back to those days but I believe she can still be okay.
We all should just live our lives contentedly.
