Like they usually do, ever since I got here, the government of Russia, through my University's dormitory system gave every student an end of the year gift. In previous years, it used to be chocolate (filled) boxes and goodies but this year, they decided to give us a lunch. smiley
.
I find it inspiring and loving that a federal University shows this kind of warm gesture to its students every year.
I want to sponsor someone to study in Russia, how much will the four year cost in total ?

In Nigeria, even if the FG provides the initiative, lecturers, VCs and all the staff will make sure it only gets to them.

I think, probably the language barrier posing as an hindrance to a well tutored students.

Though, most lectures could r even all are conducted in English to English speaking students but I think it can't be as explanatory as when the English is from English speaking lecturers or thereabout.....just what I feel...might not be all that valid anyway

I have a colleague too that read medicine in Russia. By the time he returned with his MBBS degree, he couldn't pass the general West Africa College Of Surgeon Exams that would make him qualify as a doctor in Nigeria.

I think the educational standard in Russia is very low. Probably due to their Anti West mentality, however, I think Ukraine is far better.

Anyway, it's my personal view.
You made a valid point, I have seen a medical graduates from Ukraine who are very good doctors. One of them left to Rwanda, seeing this perspective on Russian medical student is a good pointer.

Also have couple of friends who finished medical studies in Hungary and now practice in Germany, Saudi and Canada. Never knew Hungary had a very good medical schooling system.

It's a good gesture.

Now, one question......is it possible for a Nigerian to go to a Russian University, graduate and be unable to perform upon return to Nigeria? I am really concerned because of a recent experience I had with someone who graduated from a Russian University.

I interviewed him for a job and he just about failed every question I threw at him.

He was even arguing with me over a point I made until I went online and proved him wrong.

In the end, a colleague and friend convinced my boss and I to take him, and we put the guy on the team of the same guy that was begging on his behalf.

Fast forward a couple of months, my friend was complaining about his performance. grin
So because of one. . I mean one. Just one bad experience you have judged everyone from russian univ? Common man.

Werey… that’s how you guys go about lying like your master and his Honda story he pulled out of his anus.

Is it the tuition fees that a lot of students were protesting about some months ago that they can no longer afford to pay or which one are you talking about?

You have sold your soul to the devil!

Thunder fire you.
Thunder doesn’t need to fire you, it’s “sense” I pray you acquire in 2025.

How many students have dropped out in Nigeria universities ? Show your statistics instead of manufacturing arbitrary figures. In abroad, how many of their citizens make it to the universities? How many can even afford it there?

When foreigners read you guys comment, they will think Nigeria is such a slum. Yes I understand your life can be seriously retrogressing but that doesn’t apply to all.

Use 2025 to reevaluate your life, maybe, just maybe you could be among those making it in the country. Realistically it is looking so hopeless for you right now considering the frustration in what you earlier typed.

And please consider this as my last reply to you as I don’t intend to spend the last day of 2024 with a retard.

When u graduate from Nigeria universities and get a job and u working. U will discover that God loves Nigeria.

They might not give u all these but the mental preparations to solve the most difficult life challenges, u will get it.

Do you also pay the kind of tuition he is paying in Russia in Nigeria? An average American will have $150,000 worth of debt to go to college, but Nigerians don’t even spend up to $200 to finish a 4yrs degree before 2023. The night and day comparison yall make is insane
If comprehension is your problem, blame your English teachers and not me.
What part of my comment insinuates comparison?

I insist, na small things dey marvel village person .

I have always respected Russia when it comes to building heavy engineering facilities, so I was taken back by this dude's performance. I only asked how possible it was to finish in Russia and still not perform in Nigeria.

You are really stupid.

You need that sense more in 2025, you barefaced shameless liar.

You are so silly not to know that foreigners don’t need to see my post before they make informed decisions.

Why do you think your useless party could only attract $3.75B FDI in 5years ?

The joke is on you…. If you like, whitewash till you drop dead. No amount of propaganda will change things.

And that is a country at war. Even war-ravaged Ukraine recently sent us grain to help us stay alive.

But down here, the impression APC and their famished supporters are struggling to create is that it is wrong for citizens to enjoy welfare package from the government.

Some of them once claimed to be progressives and that they lean towards welfare, but only when other parties are in power.

So in 2012 when petroleum subsidy was removed and price went to N140/litre, they almost brought down the heavens, arguing that every country provided subsidy for their citizens. Then Jonathan listened and brought price down to N80/ litre. Then they continued fighting, promising Nigerians that their lives would flourish if APC was voted into power.

Excited, Nigerians led by the North gave them power in anticipation of a wonderful life thereafter?

Hahahahahahaha........

May you never empower your Zacheus!

As u rightly said. One bad egg doesn't mean all are bad. Even in the Univ you rate so highly. There are still unqualified graduates amongst them.
