Hi guys...

So I got a job in Saudi Arabia as a heavy duty equipment electrician 2years contract but renewable but am very scared to make the move cox of the fear of the unknown...

Firstly I work with a reputable company here in Nigeria in the maritime sector as a FTE and I get approximately 400k monthly and I am being offered a salary of 3500sr(1.3m) for the Saudi Arabia job. I will only visit my country once in a year, am not married and am 33, n pressure of marriage dey my neck.

Though accomodation and flight expenses will be catered for by the company but I don't know if it's really worth taking the move though I don't know the cost of living in saudi Arabia.... I don't know if you have a saudi Arabia experience.. please I need your inputs...

Please go and get international expereince that will help you progress in life

Please ensure nobody takes your passport from you.

While you are there, start looking for ways to go to your desired country.

My dream country is Singapore

I will definitely get there.

In my own opinion that salary is small, look at it in terms of your expenses in that country.
If you really possess verifiable experience as an heavy duty equipment electrician. You have a lot of options and you can bargain more.
Infact you stand a better chance I Australia with better future prospect.
My opinion anyway

Hope you have considered accommodation, feeding and transportation over there? The salary maybe more than your current earning but consider the expenses also.

I actually bargain more but they said can't pay more than that cox its same pay they give other nationalities working with them

Go for the job, but do research about SA, make sure you don't have Nigeria blood in you or else them go cut your head with sword avoid any Nigerian you see there.

the highlighted part calls for a review bro.....as far as I'm concerned , meeting Nigerians should even be one of your topmost priorities while in a strange land.....Not all Nigerians are wicked as u assume bro; wickedness is inherent in all races and tribes.........The one thing I'm sure u should try to avoid is to be seen in public with their women or girls or even to engage in public use of alcohol or clubbing sef.....Baba their men fit place u as target ooo...

From my experience that salary is poor. It's the wages of an unskilled laborer in the middle east. I believe you got the job through an agency right? If yes, they have short changed you.

Can you follow me their rules No alcohol, you can go to jail for nacking woman etc. if i am the one i will take it sha and aim for Europe or America next

First one middle East.....not a great place for me
Let them do their own job

Secondly....the wage is just too low
That's about 750 USD per month

Why should a Nigerian go outside
Like export his brain,body and life for 750 USD per month

If the guy got brain

He can do that 750 USD comfortably here exporting only the soft side of his skill
Not himself as a whole

Better look for some other European countries than a place like middle East for work

Even if na Somalia, alaye, I go move!

Did you say 1.3m? That salary is extremely low, equivalent to less than $900. Considering the cost of living, that amount might not be sufficient. I strongly advise you to conduct thorough research before making any decisions."
