This is the question I have been asking . What was he hoping to achieve? He took everyone for granted , obviously he took all those who trusted every word from his mouth for granted .
When people trust you to the extent that anything you say ,get will believe without even thinking about it ,and you wake up one morning to do an expensive prank like this in them ! It really shows how much he thinks of his followers

He is a thief. He lied initially that his account was hacked, then he said the hacker apologized and returned some amount bla bla bla.
He was trying to scam more money from Nigerians who thought he was legit.

It beats the imagination, only a foolish person in the first instance believed the nonsense that his account was hacked, this clown should be on Big Brother Nigeria.

From another angle, I think it was a smart move. And a distraction to a saga that was about to ripen( him threatening little smart) to prove a point that people are gullible to info. They don't validate it before broadcasting it. And to know who his true friends are. In one moment you think people are your friends till you are in a big mess. Someone called his mum a thief; these are brutal enemies that you must know else they might catch you by surprise like Brutus and the great Julius Caesar. Similar thing happened with Jesus with all he did for the jews, they requested a thief be pardorned rather than someone who was doing good deeds in their midst.
