Don’t do it, bro The pay is too small. Even students in Europe and North America make at least twice that pay and can save at least, half of it. It’s better you use express entry and move to Canada. There are many provinces looking for your kind of expertise. Don’t rush, just be strategic. |

Middle East is not in my options except if I'm into football. They give footballer liberality. I observed the pay is poor, even the restrictions there because of their religion. And you're going to cater for your feeding. Aside the experience you're going to gather there, I see nothing beneficial to you the as a young unmarried man. Well, do what your mind tells you. |

Have you googled the company itself? Do you know where you will be working? What project will you be attached to? This is the information you need to find out. Who are the people you will be working with? When you say you were interviewed by hr - were you interviewed by any actual technical person? Normally in interviews the person you will be working with will interview you to access your competence and ability. If you didn't have any form of technical interview that means it is laborer job they have set up for you. No one is going to hire an electrician without ascertaining their level of competence |

Seeing the posts it is obvious why Nigerians keep getting into horror stories. All people need is the semblance of a job abroad and they jump on it without taking any time to think it through. The middle East is a dangerous place, especially if you are from a third world country and more especially if you are being employed in a blue collar job. |

My Advice please don't go, if Saudi can offer you a job i believe other developed countries can as well but the difference is the west guarantee you generational future but not in most arab Islamic countries. NOT IN SAUDI. I can break it down further if required. |

rottable:Nigerians una no dey read to understand, na to rush reply dy always dey una mind. He practically says his "accommodation and transportation" would be sorted out. He stands a better chance with his skills in Saudi Arabia than in Nigeria. I have a doctor friend there that's doing just fine. |

Your salary is about $930 and this will not be taxed but however there is 15% vat on every other thing. I think you will leave a good life here since accommodation and transportation is sorted. Saudi has better schools, hospital, security and organised system. We have a lot of Nigerians (Christians and Muslim) in different fields here. Remember to carry alot of Nigerians food when coming. I have been here for 3 years and it's worth the move. |

temmybaba:Make that move. One of my relations did it. He is now the richest in our family. Dashed me $2000 recently. That should tell you his levels. DASH..not lent. It was my house he stayed to collect his work visa from the Saudi embassy (already done by the company) abd to take his flight out of Naija. Forget that 400k crap work you are slaving for. Your Saudi stint will change your CV forever. Your life will not remain the same ever. |

Be Careful of the Fear of the Unknown The fear of the unknown is one of the biggest obstacles after Satan. Here's some advice to help you move forward confidently: 1. Research the Company Make sure the company is real and not an imposter. Check the email domain they use (e.g., @CompanyName.com) matches the official website domain. Be cautious—there are stories of people being lured into dangerous situations like forced labor or worse. 2. Read Employee Reviews Use platforms like Glassdoor to read reviews from current or former employees. This helps you identify if the company has a toxic work culture. Avoid spending years in a harmful workplace. 3. Understand the Cost of Living Look up videos on YouTube about life in Saudi Arabia to get an idea of living costs. Here are two helpful links: Video 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rGwNqm-wyxU Video 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?reload=9&app=desktop&v=Mbzk9YdtaIY Additional information: https://www.numbeo.com/cost-of-living/country_result.jsp?country=Saudi+Arabia Calculate if your salary will be enough to cover other expenses. 4. Double-Check the Offer Letter Translate the offer letter using tools like Google Translator or ChatGPT. Be sure you understand: Will the company provide accommodation permanently or temporarily? How many hours per day are you expected to work? 5. Verify Salary Details Based on the 3,500 SAR salary, I checked with ChatGPT to see if it’s sufficient for living in Saudi Arabia outside of rent and travel expenses (since those are covered). Check the attached screenshots for the response. Confirm if the 3,500 SAR is net salary (after deductions) or gross salary (before deductions). 6. Take the Leap Without Fear Once you’ve done your research and are confident, set aside fear and make the move.

1.3 m is not a lot of money to migrate. That's barely $1,000. Also, avoid converting to naira so as not to mislead yourself. Monthly rent alone in some places can swallow 50% of your salary. I got the following from an A.I. search. The cost of living in Saudi Arabia is generally lower than in the United States, with rent being especially low. Here are some average monthly costs for a single person and a family of four in Saudi Arabia:To give you an idea of what you'd earn comparatively in Canada: In Canada, the average salary for an industrial electrician is around $71,827 per year, with a base pay range of $66,000–$78,000. Entry-level positions start at around $61,425 per year, while the most experienced workers can make up to $80,906 per year. From my own colleague's experience, he had told me that salary as a research student was high without taxes. However, he wanted out as there were too much restrictions, especially on his wife. Looking at economics of scale, you'd be better off elsewhere than KSA. Look towards Canada. |

PapaNnamdi:1. When you're young (12-23), learn a vocation and become darn good at it. 2. Read. Read. Read. So you know how systems, and the world, work. 3. Be good at getting information. Nobody has ever risen above what he knows. 4. Be honest. Let people TRUST you. Trust, not money, is the currently of the world. |

Like I said earlier the pay is small, however, since you are still single you can give it a short and if you do, my candid advice is fir you ti start saving from day one towards moving to Europe or north America. I am giving you advice as someone that has similar experience. As per the job since u did series of interview I can tell you it is almost legit and yes your contract will be renewed but u need to look at bigger future and start planning your exit from day one. |

Once Nigerians hear one kind big money, they pack their bag and enter plane. Have you considered the cost of living in Saudi Arabia? Better look well and do your research before resigning your Nigerian job. 1.3m in the Middle East seems like a job reserved for your kind to slave away. Do your research, please. |

However, it already resides in some of their karmas to get into trouble, or rather that the universe use them to keep the balance. That's why they remain stubborn and pig headed, without research, knowledge or assurance of where they wanna leap into, yet these folks claim to have formal education. ![]() I hope my words are not too ambiguous ![]() |
