Haba bro over 400k minimum wage? The minimum wage is around $7.5 per hour. If that guy is on a minimum wage, he can complain; there are poor people in America, too.

There's no way those things you listed here will cost up to 200K in Nigeria in 2024, not even if you went to the most exclusive supermarket! undecided

get a life and stop trolling. He went to an high end store to buy the most expensive items.

This is from Walmart sacramento. With minimum wage you can afford them easily. Can the average Nigerian afford egg of 250 naira now?

I wasn’t trolling, I was just surprised the guy said that. It’s even cheaper here in Tampa FL

You keep comparing apples to oranges and that does not show good education.

Compare the earning powers of both people before analysis. You don't just change the cost to Naira as you will. Enough of these sort of threads on Nairaland. That's how they compare UK wages to Naira but never talk about the cost of heating, insurance among others.

The guy probably went to Whole Foods and he's crying.

I like this thread because it gives Nigerians in Nigeria the chance to be happy they're suffering under Tinubu's government.

500g Blueberries N20k
12pcs Eggs N3k
Ricola N6k (rare or not available in Nigeria)
Total: N52k give or take.

$32*N1550 = N49,600

Meanwhile, another Nigerian got several food items, including a full chicken, in Russia for just 9,500 naira. Yet, some blockheads here keep telling us that Russia is a poor nation where people are starving and cannot afford food.

He has a right to complain...!

$32 to one American might seem like $320 to another in the same country, all depending on income and lifestyle.

It's always going to be relative.

Same way, here in Nigeria, #3,200 to most Nairalanders means nothing to other Nairalanders earning over half a million per month.

This simple and commonsense explanation aside... What exactly is the relevance of this post?!!

You’re buying organic
You’ll pay extra
Go to Walmart and buy more with the same amount
