How Nairaland giveaways work.

A troll opens a new account. He types with it “giveaway for X amount of people.” As usual, hungry children flood the thread. His alternates appear too since it’s a free-for-all. Everyone drops their account names and numbers. He picks out his alternates and claims to pay them. He may actually transfer money to accounts he earlier created since Fintechs allow opening of multiple accounts. For the real users who post their real details, your guess is as good as mine when thinking of what he does with the information.
