Better remain in your potopoto region.

Ndi Monday prisoners....
What potopoto region.
If only you knew. Some Igbos are no longer just building homes—they are creating legacies. Villages within villages. Boulevards within boulevards. Cottages within cottages, crafted not just for the present but for generations yet unborn. I attended two housewarming events recently, and it hit me like a hammer: 2025 Christmas will be an entirely different spectacle.

My grandfather created a small boulevard for himself and sons and grandsons. I thought we had arrived until I saw a family that created a village within their village for their sons and grandsons

The wealth fueling this transformation isn’t just trickling in from Lagos—it’s pouring in from every corner of the globe. The diaspora is speaking with brick and mortar, with sprawling estates and architectural marvels that are rewriting the meaning of homecoming. This isn’t just a cultural renaissance; it’s a bold declaration that the Igbo are no longer competing with Nigeria—they’re competing with the world.

Another crap from ewedu burue of fake news. Abia state has been attracting from capital than your states except Lagos, our financial capital. There are more vehicle manufacturers in the East today than your region. Indigenous investors are opening factories everyday in Anambra.

Cities and villages in the East are far more livable than your rusted roof shanties without toilets. Travel to the East and see how Igbos live and compare to your slums where people defecate in gutters and baff inside roundabout.

flokii:
With all the sense you claim to have, your home region is a shithole noone wants to go to or invest in..
Don't go back to Anambra or wherever it is you crawled out from and build it to be like other great cities.. nonsense and ingredients.

Every other tribes are currently in Lagos .

You are the ones chest beating over nothing. Igbos are busy working and developing to have time for all your rubbish.

I asked you a question, tell me one economic benefit you yorubas from the 5 rusted roof dungeons have brought to Lagos? You're nothing but liabilities dragging Lagos backwards through your primitive agbero and omonile. You all should stop being lazy and contribute like Igbos.

Lagos would have been a great place today like its mates if not for you guys. Tell me, are there agberos in Nairobi or Johannesburg? Are there omonile in Cairo or Abidjan etc.? No!

There is a reason why the real Lagos indigenes love Igbos but only tolerate you guys.
WHY CAN'T YOU PERFORM THIS MAGIC IN YOUR OWN LAND?

EWU.

I just think the reason Ibo’s behave this way is a trauma response from the civil war, embedded in their forefathers pass down to their offspring’s! Heck, the level of the low self esteem they display on daily basis is really pathetic!I mean, I do stat and data,I have not seen any sectors ibos is No 1. Just delusions and propagandist! Small achievement,na to march people heads! More like empty barrels. You crossed many rivers just like others to Lagos to start desecrating the land of your host! NO MANS LAND ! No mans LAND. Now if the owners shows you who owns it now,you will start tagging, WORLD HEALTH ORGANISATIONS,HAGUE, AU,OAU, WAEC , and you are always the trigger!

The videos I saw on Twitter refute that claim. There has been an influx of many tourists into Lagos within the past month. Notable celebrities and social media influencers. These people attract a lot of others to attend any event they grace. Traffic has been hellish in Lagos.

Enjoy your festivities in the East and allow others to enjoy theirs.

Learn to mind your business for crying out loud!

Largely true, but our people should learn to focus on these things rather than state that Nigeria's most populous state with the biggest economy is suddenly quiet because Igbos travelled out.

Lagos is now the global gathering point for December celebration, international celebrities, tourists and Nigerians from all over the world turned Lagos into an explosive festive celebration and culture center with hotels, estates, restaurants, Streets, clubs, concerts and parks jam-packed, but this one think Lagosians gives a damn about him going back to his village .

The aviation industry in Nigeria unintentionally delivered that and all the airlines in the country boldly revealed where the celebration was happening.

Packed flights, skyrocketing ticket prices, and the eastward migration during the holidays painted a picture too vivid to ignore.

The airlines graphically showcased to the entire world just where Christmas was being celebrated.

For years, I’ve told people that the Igbo celebrate Christmas as though Jesus Himself was Igbo. This year, the frenzy made it undeniable. Yet, while the National Bureau of Statistics or platforms like Statisense may not release the data, the road transport and aviation industries became the loudest reporters of Nigeria’s political reality.

The exodus to the Southeast was not just about festivity; it was a testament to the deep-rooted cultural pride of a people who have been systematically marginalized.

It revealed, in stark terms, a country where certain regions are left to thrive on their own resilience while others are lavished with government attention.

Roads choked with endless traffic, overloaded buses braving perilous journeys, and airports bursting at the seams laid bare a truth that statistics will not: the Southeast remains a vibrant, determined heartbeat of Nigeria, one that continues to shine seasonin season out.

In the midst of festivities, the logistics of Christmas travel became a brutal political commentary.

Nigeria, through its transport data, revealed not just where Jesus was being celebrated, but where the nation has consistently failed to address its structural inequalities.

The Igbo people’s celebration of Christmas is not just cultural; it’s an act of identity in a nation that often overlooks .

And this year, the airlines and highways unwittingly told the whole story for all the world to see.
Stats and figures don't lie.
Check percentage increases in traffic to the SE vs other regions, you will see the facts.

Also Niger Deltans from Edo, Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers etc. Middle Beltans and Northerners

Am I staying in your home? Is your home truly better than mine? If your home is so good, why claim someone else’s home as your own? Is Abuja or Port Harcourt or Lagos really your home? You want me to return to my home while you remain in someone else’s. How much more clever can this people get?

If you still don't get it , you are a grossly homeless people . Go home , you will not . Allow others to go home and you suffer from your self induced inferiority complex.
