Fear not.

Moving to Saudi will be your best decision,Saudi is better than UAE,just be sure that the job is not a scame and asked if they’re giving you accommodation aside your salary.

From my experience that salary is poor. It's the wages of an unskilled laborer in the middle east. I believe you got the job through an agency right? If yes, they have short changed you.
You're not serious, even medical doctors don't get paid more than $2,000; now compare a heavy duty electrician.

Continue searching. That money isnt worth it. There are companies in Nigeria that will pay you the same amount.
As an heavy electrician? U must be joking. Nigeria organizations that takes artisans for granted is what u are saying they can pay him 1.3 Million here in Nigeria? U must be a comedian.

Even the so called Oil & gas and marine companies haven't paid artisans that much in Nigeria talk less of those yeye yeye suffer head useless companies in Nigeria (most especially those modern day slavery ones littered everywhere in Lagos and Ogun State).

Good. Feeding is reasonable in Saudi. Just that after a while you will crave naija food like mad. They like rice n chicken there alot. If You decide on making the move better go with pepper and lots of seasoning. Their food can be bland.

Good morning brother, hope you're good.
Well my younger brother called my attention to your post, when I saw your salary wage I smiled and said how I wish is me sha but is fine I earn 1k+sr as salary, I stay in companies accomodation and I feed myself, my occupation is also driving but not heavy duty. This January will make me 3 years here. I'm not yet married too. I'm 35 years but I tell you am grateful for here I find myself though most times am empty, lonely and sometimes when I look where I came from, I bress up to fight more. As a lover of boobs not having it do cause me sometimes mental trauma, my vacation is once in two years while yours is once a year cos the laws have changed now. There are many things I would like to see in your contract paperwork. If you care to reach out 07031092329 is my contact

Hi guys...

So I got a job in Saudi Arabia as a heavy duty equipment electrician 2years contract but renewable but am very scared to make the move cox of the fear of the unknown...

Firstly I work with a reputable company here in Nigeria in the maritime sector as a FTE and I get approximately 400k monthly and I am being offered a salary of 3500sr(1.3m) for the Saudi Arabia job. I will only visit my country once in a year, am not married and am 33, n pressure of marriage dey my neck.

Though accomodation and flight expenses will be catered for by the company but I don't know if it's really worth taking the move though I don't know the cost of living in saudi Arabia.... I don't know if you have a saudi Arabia experience.. please I need your inputs...

Thank you very much
1.3m salary is small boss. Your monthly expenses plus taxes may exceed 700k, so what will be left for you except you are after boosting you CV

In my own opinion that salary is small, look at it in terms of your expenses in that country.
If you really possess verifiable experience as an heavy duty equipment electrician. You have a lot of options and you can bargain more.
Infact you stand a better chance I Australia with better future prospect.
My opinion anyway
Can you assist om Australia??
I am a mechanical engineer with NBC

Saudi is one of the best places to live on earth. Their economy is good. Just make sure they don't smuggle drugs into your bag before you leave from airport. Move quick quick.

I know a truck driver that might want to work there. Can the company you'd work for hire him? He's my driver here and he's very good.

That movie is for illegal immigrants. Op should check properly before moving not just him but others. Before going to any country one should confirm if whatever job you are offered is legit especially when you don't have immediate family members there.

He can use 500sar for feeding a month and send back the rest to Nigeria. A month he can save up to 1M .

Can he save up to 200k in Nigeria with his current job?
1. What is the basis of your advice to him: personal experience in Saudi Arabia or something else?

2. Will his entire monthly expenses in Saudi Arabia be limited to just food?

Less than $800 per month is a very low salary for a job in a place like Saudi Arabia.

The movie isn't for illegal immigrants. Dey had they came Tru the right channel, boarded a plane, dey had their papers. But their papers were torn by the slave masters making them illegal. Papers in a foreign country makes u legal, if you don't have them, then u r illegal. Their paper was torn, which made them illegal, second, their time abroad had already expired too. Dey didn't come in Tru the desert. They came in thru the ryt way buh life happened to them and they became slaves. Sad

First one middle East.....not a great place for me
Let them do their own job

Secondly....the wage is just too low
That's about 750 USD per month

Why should a Nigerian go outside
Like export his brain, body and life for 750 USD per month

If the guy got brain

He can do that 750 USD comfortably here exporting only the soft side of his skill
Not himself as a whole

Better look for some other European countries than a place like middle East for work
One man's food.......

I won't want to discourage you.

But I won't move to SA for $1.3 million, which is less than $800 monthly.

I make exactly $800 monthly working for a USA-based fitness company from Nigeria. I work for three different USA companies and over 5 Nigerian companies. All from home.

I am currently working on another gig that is offering $12,000 annually. If successfully, that'll be my 4th USA company.

Also, you'll need over $800 monthly to live comfortably in Saudi Arabia, as a person, excluding rent. As an expat, you'll need to earn at least SAR 15,000 to live a good life in SA. You might not believe this, your #400,000 monthly can get more comfortable life in Nigeria (according to Nigerian standards) than #1.3 million in SA.

Again, with the current hardship in Nigeria, you might need up to 2 months of your FULL salary to visit Nigeria and go back. And 3 months if you plan to marry before returning.

But if you prioritize a good life, better standard of living, and international experience. PLEASE MOVE.

Good luck with your decision.
