Let me state something critical here: Tinubu must reap the seeds he sown against Jonathan no matter how he wields his presidential powers to circumvent it. He and his gang resorted in all sorts of name calling to discredit the then president all in the name of playing the opposition card. He has ascended into power and he is trying to play super smart.First Buhari through Lai Mohammed pushed for Hate speech and now Tinubu literally arrest whistle blower who makes any revelation.Even the recent claim by the police on cyber bullying of political office holders through insults is laughable.Something they did worse. As the forces of nature does not respect human excessiveness or greed it must surely pay you back.He has the power to arrest and charge the likes of Dele Farotimi and the hausa man who talked about the french military base in the north but nature will name high profile individuals and institutions beyond his state powers to rubbish his image. Davido started by telling 9ja Diasporans not to come invest here that the country is in a deep mess. They can't arrest him. Kemi Badenoch fired them on all cylinders labelling the vice president indirect as a terrorist and finished the Nigerian police. They no born them well to arrest her.Inside them they still fear her. The report that Tinubu is the third most corrupt president in the world is very funny.I don't this that stat is done by an indigenous institution else heads would have rolled. Now the Australian government is throwing punches at the Nigerian govt incompetence in the area of insecurity. They should arrest their high commissioner or ambassador na ? 😅😅😅 There is no hidding place for Tinubu. Those insults he gave out those years thinking he was a rugged politician will work against him unless he publicly apologizes to Jonathan I don't mean private oooo. I can't wait for Trump's own. That one own go be so sweet to be on Netflix as a series. My allegiance is never to any politician but the Nigeria as a country.I hate injustice. Emilokan the Bulaba enjoy your ride.😂😂😂 |

Ofodirinwa:Only a 2 minutes search online would have prevented you for asking such. https://travel.gc.ca/destinations/united-states They are not stupid. Giving an advice to your citizen so they can know how not to be in danger is what a reasonable government will do. |

Mrhonesty:Nigerians are not patriot because of the leadership! The leaders will take money that belong to people and by luxury items with it! Example: Money that should be use for agricultural etc would be used to buy jeep and other vain things! Meanwhile, average Nigerian kids is go to sleep hungry! |

This is the best reply. I may not be a fan of Tinubu but a country shouldn't insult us and expect us to laugh. |

Utter pettiness at its peak. If Nigeria is truly safe and the advisory from Australia to its citizens is unfounded, then our government officials, along with their aides, should demonstrate confidence by moving around freely with a maximum of two security guards. Let’s treat it as a social experiment and observe the results. |

The response from the Nigerian government shows they lack logic and think with their emotions. Instead of taking responsibility to improve security in the affected areas they are responding with rage against isolated cases of security concerns in Australia. |

But let me ask o, is it not better to travel to Australia 🇦🇺 and face verbal abuse and discrimination than face the massive insecurities being experienced in the entire Naija? This Kimiebi Ebianfa is really petty o. How can you compare the risk between the 2 countries? Una no well o for this country walahiiiiii. Kimiebi can you travel by road to your village freely ? My friend keep quiet and let reasonable countries advice their citizens properly. |

Where's the lie? FG it's high time you put an end to all these insecurity in Nigeria which is giving the Nation a negative look rather than trying to play the victim here! |
| Re: FG Retaliates, Caution Citizens Against Travelling To Australia by OBA2503: 10:26am On Jan 01, 2025 |
A very apt response from the Nigerian foreign service. As a patriotic Nigerian, we should reject all forms of stigmatization or discrimination. There is no place in the world without some form of violence or insecurity or terrorism. The fact Nigeria is grappling with certain security situations exacerbated by our free press which continually allows negative news to flow says a lot about the liberal nature of the Nigerian government and our nascent democracy. Nigeria will rise again and things will get better. Soon all these pockets of insecurity and violence will be a thing of the past and true growth and development will happen in this country. We should stop portraying Nigeria in the negative light and spread positive vibes only. The leaders in the South East, North East and West must find ways to improve security and development. The South-south is fast catching up with progressive change and the middlebelt states (Benue, Plateau and Abuja) are already seeing the required peace for development to take place in those regions. |
