Nice observation. However, let me make a correction to your comment. Tundun Abiola was never part of their shenanegans, she left arise even before the APC party primaries. It was her replacement a certain lady from lagos ojy, rufai and abati that were displaying their foolishness althrough. Also, dont be deceived, like you rightly posited above. It is a ploy by Emeka to remain relevant. It is becoming clear even to the deaf now that the people made the right choice in 2023 and like the scavanger that they are, they are trying to cozy up. I trust Tinubu. He will simply ignore them as always. No need to accept or reject the award!
You trust a man who is known in Real life all over the Country even amongst his Kinsmen as the greatest curse and FAILURE to befall this Countryhuh

Don't You niggas think you are taking this zombism too far 😁

Happy new year.

What are the lessons?

Recall that during the 2022 to 2023 presidential campaigns, Arise News and ThisDay used every opportunity to attack Tinubu.

Ms Ojynika Ojy Ope brought every Tinubu's gaffe to amplify on her gossip segment of their morning show. Rufai Oseni said all sorts and asked Tinubu to bring himself to their studios so he (Rufai Oseni) could cross-examine him. Tundun Abiola abused people who spoke for Tinubu. Abati sometimes got carried away and joined the fray. Even their proprietor wrote a scathing release where he specifically said that Nigeria must avoid a "Noriega moment", in reference to Tinubu's unproven drug dealings. That press release was in bad taste that the duo of Dele Alake and Bayo Onanuga took the owner of Arise News to the cleaners over his unethical business practices. The owner of Arise News even tried to control public opinion by insisting Tinubu must be interviewed by them or other media house.

We must remember that the media house gave positive press coverage to PDP, Atiku, LP, Peter Obi and Godwin Emefiele as the latter contributed his quota to bury tye Nigerian economy.

They even lied that APC Presidential Campaigns had asked ThisDay/Arise Media Group to remove Rufai Oseni from the Morning Show and Shaka Momodu as ThisDay Editor in favour of patronage should Tinubu win.

After the heat from Bayo Onanuga and Dele Alake, Newspaper Proprietors Association of Nigeria had to intervene to reach a settlement as the owner of ThisDay/Arise found himself in hot water.

The morning after the results were declared, Rufai Oseni exhibited a sad and forlorn look as he could not conceal his pain.

Following Tinubu's victory, they brought all sorts of human beings to their media station to discredit the elections and discuss a matter in a court. When all that failed and the handwriting on the wall was clear, their boss started making moves to ingratiate himself to the leaders of the day. For example, he invited himself to attend a Nigeria-Saudi Investment Forum to catch the eye of the president.

Only recently, they tried to discredit the coastal highway by jumping from one issue to another without questioning someone for allocating public land to himself.

What has changed from the antagonistic media group to bromancing the president?

What are the lessons:

1. Put your eye on the ball and believe in what you do and do what you are convinced in. Had Tinubu allowed himself to be misled to the biased media group, they'd have messed him up.

2. Many organizations take editorial decisions to favour the business interests of their owners. Do not be deceived that they are giving a voice to you or your feelings. They are doing what is politically expedient at that time.

3. I think it is unethical for a media house to dish out awards. A media is a business, but how can they be objective in coverage when they give awards to people they ought to report?

4. How come Channels TV, TVC, NTA, VOA et al do not give awards to people?

5. It is clearly a battle of business survival which makes this award in bad taste, unethical and unacceptable.

Let's look into the future:

1. Atiku and Obi would condemn ThisDay/Arise for giving Tinubu the award.

2. Tinubu should thank them and reject it.

3. I am ashamed of Tinubu's enemies eating their words. Why can't they stand by what they claimed to have believed?

And I think that miracles can happen next term
1. Local government financial independence
2. Unifying exchange rates
3. Abolishing fuel subsidy
4. Incoming tax reforms
5. Incoming State police
6. Establishing additional Nigerian aviation training school campuses in 5 other zones, instead of concentrating everything in the North (Kaduna)
7. Establishing a Federal University in Southern Kaduna thereby giving the majority Christian population there some education independence.

This is not restructuring? huh

If restructuring to you means creating regional governments, that is not something a President can do by himself. That requires changing the constitution. The Noth will absolutely oppose any attempt to introduce regional government.

The North's opposition to the tax bills will be child's play compared to what their opposition to any attempt to introduce regional government will look like.

That is why Mr Tinubu is cleverly going after low hanging restructuring fruits that do not require a change of the Constitution.

If you are an advocate of restructuring, you should appreciate Mr Tinubu's bold actions to rebalance the country. This opportunity may not come again for a long time, if ever.

If you are a Southerner or from the middle belt, be grateful. Half bread is better than none. What Mr Tinubu is doing is even more than half bread.

No President before him has been able to do what he is doing.

A President from the North will certainly not do most of these things.

That's the reason why the media is created and not to fight fir any masses . They're there to be use by the government and opposition, you have to fall in one group.
The west greatest tooll for manipulation since time immemorial.

Failure 3
The question is, did they believe in what they spit out for you ? Is their belive pure or hypocrisy?
Most of them don't believe in anything concrete but their feelings and pockets.

They're are either Apc, Pdp, Lp(pdpchild) so nothing genuine about their believe .

Happy new year.
I normally dont respond to online trolls, but just to educate you a bit of your ignorance. I grew up in Lagos and was old enough to understand the situation before and after his governorship. He brought a lot of reforms to lagos as Governor which has changed the state till today. I remember in the 90s when Lagos virtually terminated at maroko, everything after that was bush till you get to Epe. Today, based on the reforms he started then and mainly the execution of Fashola. Lekki axis today is virtually opened up all the way to Epe and even Ijebu in Ogun state. He grew lagos igr astronomically as a governor and ultimately its economy. If past performance is a predictor of future achievements then I believe he indeed stand a good chance of doing well as a president.

It is going to be impossible to fix the prices of basic goods.

Only North Korea where the government have 100% control over the citizens can do that.

Nigerians are virtually uncontrollable.

Cheap weed is as MTN.

Nonsense.

Kilimbu remains the singular hyper destroyer of the economy and monetary value system, killing the naira within 1 month and imposing hunger on an unprecedented scale ever in the history of Nigeria.

With Zero sense, he has continued with the culture of borrowing.

What are you saying about media houses, ThisDay has been doing this awards for years, including media houses like Punch, Sun, Vanguard, Authority newspaper has been doing awards for years.

ThisDay and Arise Group are Global brand bigger than your TVC or Channels or AIT.
