I think the person is trying to say that food items are expensive in the US, but the residents have good earnings to take care of the bills. If u feel ur purse can not sustain u, there are other ways to get things cheaper, and even free. There are food banks and food pantries in each city where those who are broke can get free food stuffs. I stand to be corrected though.

in Nigeria, 200K is 3 MONTHS SALARY (24Hrs × 30days × 3 months). In the US, $30 is just 2 hours minimum wage
