Wife, child, good home, good paying job, assets, they all came when I dumped religion. When I was prayerful, I was as poor as church rat. I took the bold step to stop praying when I read the Doctufos.

We need to understand the main motives behind that particular long prayer of Jesus. He wanted the cup to pass from him, but that was not the will of His Father. I hope you understand such impossibility. If what Jesus Christ wanted was in line with the will of God, He wouldn't have prayed for so long. At the end of that long prayer, what did Jesus say? 👇
“My Father, if this cup cannot pass unless I drink it, may Your will be done.”

I am in this category. As for prayer, those who know me used to call me asking that I pray for them. I got tired of prayer without results.I prayed day & night, quoted scriptures , gave to the church & needy. I didn’t understand how a good father will leave me to suffer year after year & punish me to strengthen my faith🙄. I couldn’t explain why a good god allows innocent kids to suffer from cancer or why we read of miracles but, never experience them. Why would I be praying for something for more than a decade & never get it, yet others keep getting the same. Shall we talk of chronic illnesses & people will keep saying that you can’t be tested beyond your ability to overcome. Who said I want to overcome anything? I dropped that religion matter & my family who are not even so called born again are upset claiming I’ll return.😂

I'm not here to argue with you. The point raised was about the prayer at the Gethsemane and I tried to clarify it. Good bye.

Sir, please teach me how to tarry for hours in prayers. On speaking in tongues, I usually see myself speaking on tongues in my dream whenever I am under a demonic attacks, and the demons will disappear. If I am praying in my understanding in the dream, they don't run but once I am.giving a tongue utterance, they flee.....So while praying in my understanding the tongues do come to me and I will just yield by speaking. No one has ever laid hands on me for receive the Holy Ghost (they laid hands but I didn't receive it)
