1. N500 note (N47,000)
2. N1,000 note (N35,000)

Total is N82,000.

I had to make sure I look for the new note because I don't want to hear stories that the old note have been ban from usage...

I've done this before, but later switched to Piggyvest which is kinda better. See my savings and interest for the last year.

Unfortunately, with the massive inflation we had this year, your N82,000 is worth less than N35,000.

If you think that this is an exaggerations, compare prices of Milk, Sugar, garri and Gas in March 2024 and December 2024

Let's assume you started from 1st may to 31st December, 2024,

That will be a total of 245 day of savings.

You saved 82,000

That is approximately N335 daily.

Not bad.

Nice one but moving forward you should save in USD.

You save and then the value of naira decreases... so that what you saved can buy even less by the time you want to use the money.

I think investments that grow money are better, though I don't know any investments that are cheap. And if a man is too poor to get these investments booked, what can one do but save? Saving is the solution when there's literally no money to do proper investments.

My goal is to save in USD while looking for opportunities.

Please use PIGGYVEST APP on playstore to save instead. You will get some interest on your savings. You can do target savings. No issues withdrawing your funds at maturity. I don't work for the company Ive been using the app to save for three years

Congratulations, but its better to save on Opay fixed interest to get higher interest, this will be my third year in saving my money on Opay's fixed interest saving plan.
