Many State Governors had their budgets approved unopposed by their State Houses of Assembly within 24 hours of submission, its not new. Four members of the Rivers State House of Assembly who sat and passed the budget are the only lawful members of the House. The other members defected from PDP to APC and their seats were declared vacant as required by the Constitution. So they are no longer members of the Assembly.

Court of Appeal however set aside the judgment of the Federal High Court Abuja which said that the 2023 budget passed by the four members Assembly is invalid. What is lawlessness which you guys have refused consider is whether the 28 members of the Assembly who defected to APC from PDP have not lost their seat upon defecting as provided for in your constitution. People are ready to talk about the illegality of 4 members passing the budgeting but refusing to discuss the illegality of 28 members defecting and remaining members of the House against the clear provisions of the constitution.

Which state is that?Because the states that I know that presented before Rivers have not passed it. Did the forum members even send the budget to the appropriate house committees?And you call it a budget. The governor has no right to declare any seat vacant. He is not the judiciary.
