A friend is travelling to Nigeria after a long time, is it possible to get a sim card at the Murtala airport without NIN?

Aa you exit after you get your luggage you might see Airtel or MTN kiosk. He can ask there.

No..... NIN is required.... If someone is meeting her at the airport, she could use that person's NIN......

Someone has to borrow her their own (could be newly register to that person until she get her own NIN).

If they commit a crime with your number nko...... Who would be wanted........ 😁

I'm going to assume this person is traveling on an expired passport that's why they have no NIN.
LEet them use data on their plan to use WhatsApp.

When they get in they can sort out nin and sim card at any Airtel or MTN office.
But there should be kiosks at the airport
