North Does Not Have Voting Power, It Is A mere exaggeration by Biodun556(op): 8:36pm On Jan 03, 2025
In reality, Northern Nigeria is just two; North East and North West. North Central or the middle belt in most cases aligned with the south.

Most of the North Central States either voted for Peter Obi or Tinubu in the last election.

North East and North West alone can not achieve outright victory for a candidate without the support of other regions.

God willing, Tinubu stands a good chance of re-election.

As election approaches, he will make naira to add value and petrol prices would have fallen and that would pull more supporters for him.

Your analysis only make sense in a neutral situation e.g Buhari vs GEJ 2011.
In the current climate, economic crisis is already a big minus for Tinubu in every region.

Coupled with the fact that he has no absolute majority support in the South, unlike OBJ and GEJ.

Even if he wins the NC, he must find a way to win over the other southern region or
be lucky that they decide to massively boycott the election.
Unfortunately, he is not making any effective move to get less dislike by the other southern region's public.

Hence, even if he can't win there, he must get substantial votes in NW and NE.

So, his only pathway to victory is to divide the votes among opponents as much as possible
even more so than the 2023 elections.

Exactly what I have been trying to point out..

North West joining with North East alone can't produce President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. When they will realize their blunder with the way they're looking away as herdsmen continue to kill people from Plateau to Benue across Middle Belt region, it will be too late.

Should the Middle Belt decide to ally politiclly with South, no core Northerner will ever become President of Nigeria again. Buhari might just be the last core Northerner President.

If Tinubu wasn't worried about his lost Northern votes you wouldn't be making this type of post

Infact Tinubu should hand over to a North Central candidate after he finishes

If not for President Tinubu that rallied support for Buhari in South West, GEJ would have defeated him fair and square. GEJ would have done second term and maybe hand over to an Igbo person and there is nothing North will do about it.

I'm also rooting for a Middle Belt person (preferrably Christian) to be the next President come 2031.. afterall they are also part of their Arewa forum.

See the vampires that are destroying the country,
for them is all about grabbing power without knowing how to use it. They are not comcern on how to make impact with the power the stole or how to fix the problem they cause, they are after next election. May God judge You people for the hardship you caused in this nation.

What will be his fate if his vote reduces drastically in the North because of the beef with the northerners?

Atiku only won in the North East, he lost popular votes in the North West. Tinubu defeated him in the entire north, in fact it was the North that made Tinubu President
