It is not a joke. Just observe how they are unwilling to set aside the law and his convictions despite being elected as the President. These are the people that truly understand what the law means and what it means to say no one is above the law.

Because he will have immunity as President, rather than dismiss the case as our own people here will do, they have suspended the sentencing in a situation similar to when the accused is not available for sentencing, but the conviction stands. As such, he can be sentenced after his Presidential term has finished. That is what it means when there is truly the rule of law in place, not the kangaroo stuff we practice here..
