It was already stated as an open invitation.

And It is Obasanjo that needs to clear his own doubt.
There are proper procedures to go through when inviting someone, especially someone who's seen and done all like the ex-president. That's the main issue here, that nnpcl should have gone through the right channel and not a public invitation which can be easily misconstrued as a blatant insult.

It's not disrespectful you are only feeling ashamed that you failed to do what you were supposed to do when you had all the means at your disposal to do it. Just look at the way he is making excuses for his failure.
I tell you.. Absolute excuse!

Shame on past leaders that failed to do the right things.. Power, Refinery, Security, Manufacturing, etc.. The Nation would've been in a much better place by now.

It’s disrespectful because you felt it’s a mockery of what you could not achieve when you had all the opportunity to do it. Because of greed

Shame!

Did you read at all? They said, by protocol it was wrong to invite such a man on the pages of newspapers, that he should be formally notified or invited or visited. They were told not to politicised NNPCL.

OBJ need no clarification, as they are the one to clear their names, as they have repeatedly told us lie on the same refineries in the past.

Obasanjo and Buhari teams were busy making billions of Naira out of subsidy that was why they never deemed it fit to repair our refineries on time . God will judge them at the right time . Only sincere leader with passion for the progress of the country can fix the rot in petroleum and our steel industry . I learnt Ajaokuta will soon begin to wear a new look with the new Governmental drive for the resurcitation of the place . God bless PBAT .. All we are craving for is progress our dear nation ..

NNPC as currently structured CAN NOT run the refineries successfully. Mark my words, in a few months, something will go wrong again. I am not happy to say this but it's the way the country is wired. Government of Nigeria can not run any business effectively. The corruption and bureaucracy will eventually kill the business. You think Shell was stupid to reject the offers?
NNPC should not be in a hurry to gloat. They should at least wait for 1 year before formally inviting OBJ on a facility tour.
You have only said the truth. I for one, still don't believe that these refineries are working. Until they work for the next 6months and we are sure they are refining and supplying. I just don't believe them. We have seen someone packaged Ethiopian plane as Nigeria Air and nothing has happened. These refineries can also be packaged, besides, I do not trust Tinubu anymore... He has shown himself to be full of manipulations, deceit and lies.

Obasanjo should be ashamed of himself for failing to set the right foundation for this country.

He couldn't give electricity in spite of billions of dollars invested into the electrification of Nigeria, he failed to revive Ajaokuta steel plant after his govt sunk billions of dollars into Ajaokuta steel.

The refinery he failed to revamp, our justice system started failing under him.

Obasanjo should blame himself!
Very true.. Such a big shame!

When i was overseas I wept as I realized how these past leaders really stagnated the nation.

European countries with no Oil but quality infrastructure everywhere.. I shook my head

Olusegun Mumu Obasanjo disrespected himself by his ilogical and constant attack on Tinubu government.

Olusegun Mumu Obasanjo is a disgrace of an ex president after all the money he wasted on the refineries yet with nothing to show for it. Now Tinubu has brought the refineries back and now Olusegun Mumu Obasanjo is bitter.
I do hope is one father that born you. Can you look at your father on the face and tell him 'my father you're mumu'? If you can do that, then, you're right to have called OBJ mumu' but if you cannot, then, you lacked home training and you need to be ban for three months from this forum to go home and learn quality home training.
Some of you lose your home training because of politics. How would someone with sound home training descend so low to start abusing and cursing someone, not to even say an elder. Just as I always say, this country need national orientation because politics have made many to lose their ethics, moral and norms.

Can you tell the world how much Tinubu pumped into revamping the refineries? The same man that you people claimed handed over dead economy was the one that pumped huge amount of money to revamp the refineries but you people are rejoicing over his results. By tomorrow you people will still lambast him for handing dead economy to Tinubu.
Or should I challenge you to tell us the amount Tinubu invested on the refineries?

Quite alright, we all know that there are packages attached to being a former President, even governors too. But the nomenclature, as stated in the spokesman response (Office of The Former President) does not exist!!!

Airing one's view, especially on public infrastructure, which the refineries are, can usually be done via any channel that the critic chooses.
Even private organizations like banks welcome comments via SM and have verified handles to treat complaints. Imagine if every little complaint had to be made at a branch premise. This is for a private organization o. The problem we have in this world is that people do not take criticisms the way they should, it should be a kick to the butt to start doing things better, but instead, it's taken as a personal attack, this is why we do not have growth in the appropriate places. Even hr go dey vex if you point out an issue to them, it's ridiculous.

In as much as I support the deregulation but your analogy is wrong. How many rich men have 25 cars? It is only government officials that operate with say 6 cars and above and it will definitely be fueled from the government's pocket.
Nigeria currently does not have a middle class anymore.
With this your analogy you are pleased that everyone including the poor, comfortable, middle class and rich all park their cars and take public transport?
