The only dividend of Democracy the Igbo got from President Tinubu was a non-renewal of Asari Dokubo's military contract which worked with Ebubeagu and the Special Police Unit, Tiger Base. This reduced insecurity in the Southeast by 70%. The remaining 20% is from criminal elements (ndi bush dey pay), cultists, and a few political actors from the Southeast with the remaining 5 to 10% coming from criminal herdsmen and kidnappers. I was at Rockview Hotels in Owerri a few weeks ago where who is who from Owerri West had a meeting on combating herdsmen atrocities that they were willing to jettison party affiliation and government posts for the common good of their LGA.
