A man identified as Mr Okandeji, has been arrested for engaging “thugs” to beat up the daughter’s boyfriend, Ochuko Ikolo, which led to his death.

According to a rights activist, Comrade Israel Joe, the incident happened last December 12, at Bright Hope Street in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State.

Joe said the suspect had been against the relationship between his 20-year-old daughter and Ikolo, 35, a barber and boutique owner.

Joe said the father was particularly irked by Okolo’s occupation.

However, on December 12, the suspect reportedly hired thugs who stormed the barbing salon of the deceased and beat him to stupor.

“He was taken to the hospital but died on Friday, December 20. The father of the girl was transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Asaba on December 30, but the daughter is at large,” Joe added.

The Delta State Police Command’s spokesman, Superintendent of Police, Bright Edafe, confirmed the development.

The girl is of age, why putting himself into trouble for a girl who is up to the age of consent?

Still doesn't know, why guy would hell bent to continue dating a girl, that her parents threatened you fire & brimstone.

Now, the guy lost his life for something that doesn't worth it, I won't be surprised if the girl is in man house, where she flee to.

They should have added a picture of the girl i want to see what Romeo died for.
