https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cVDpKU_X_XQ?si=sQM-DCwLn60js4OA Early days yet but sodium-ion batteries look really promising. Meanwhile, the Lifepo4 battery delivered effectively 100% capacity at ~4C discharge Grade B cells will not give you that.

twosquare:90% true Most of them have self destructive mechanism if any unauthorized person try to open it up. Permanent bms shut down without remedy. Even some laptop bms will die permanently if u don't keep the voltage. I have opened up : beebee jump azeus Discard or return to manufacturer. Come here sha if you eventually get them repaired. They are designed to be returned but the bad thing is that they may likely be out of date after years of usage when eventually returned. |

dollarnaira:I don't know of those brands...but I am taling of Ecoflow, Bluetti, and Anker. And someone who got his own damaged via lightning got it repaired...that is why it has a warranty. I am not talking of low-tier. I am even hearing some of these names for the first time. |

Good morning. I recently had an inverter system installed, which includes a Lento 2.5kVA 24V inverter and two 220Ah 12V Lento batteries. It worked perfectly for about a week until PHCN did what they do best – we were without power supply for five days. With minimal usage, the inverter lasted about two days before it started beeping, which I understand indicates a low battery. I turned it off using the button in front to preserve the batteries. When power was finally restored last night, I left the inverter to charge the batteries. However, after approximately six hours of charging, I noticed the batteries still weren’t charging. (See attached image) Could anyone kindly advise on what might be wrong and how to resolve this issue? Thank you in advance.

Obnoxious2001:Lifepo4 is quite obviously qualitatively better than Sodium. What makes sodium interesting is its potential for affordability, seeing as sodium is much cheaper than lithium. Looks certain that sodium will eventually hit about half the price of lifepo4 per wh. Half the price when performing just 10% worse is a very good deal. |

Haykay2001:It has a settings where you’d choose the battery type for yourself. In this case of a LifePo4 battery, you’d choose either “3.2-4” or “3.2-5”. One of them is meant for your lithium ion battery depending on the serial number. Even if you picked the wrong one from the 2 options, the controller would alert you about it (E11 error), so therefore you can proceed to change it to the other option, and you are good to go. Overall, it’s a good controller if you ask me though. But if you have the money for an MPPT, you can try it. I have both PWM and MPPT. But the MPPT has an edge (A higher input) on the same setup. |
