pu7pl3:Good, I don dey induct you small small. Good student. You see say you no die. I guess it's time to move you up the next level. 🤭On a more serious note, they're ALL not scary to me one bit. I'm just going with the online hype of people shouting this is the scariest movie of 2024 and none delivered on that front. Smile 2 was more of a psychological horror than having jumpscares, loud music and fear of the dark to scare you. It was deeper. The only horror film I could remember that gave me something close to a good chill was an old South Korean movie — The Wailing. No horror film I watched in 2024 till now has come close to it's storytelling, acting, character development or dread. |

A Real Pain.......8.5/10 A simple straight forward movie about personal lives people lead. The mundane, keeping up with life and interpersonal relationships. It was really funny, had some emotional moments and fun watch throughout as there's moments where one can perfectly relate to. It's a heartfelt movie. This was written and directed by Jesse Eisenberg and the first time I actually liked him in a project. Kieran Culkin really bodied this role with an inspired performance playing an obnoxious man who was going through life while saying his mind at all times no matter whose ox is gored; an @ssholé and a real pain in @ss. Dude perfectly portrayed that ONE friend or family member you're always afraid to go out with for fear of them blurting out some silly comments and pissing people off or embarrassing you in the process. 😅 Kieran actually was the reason I even cared to watch this even tho it has some awards buzz. And I'm glad I did. It's a top tier performance from Culkin and I'd fancy an acting nomination at the Oscars/BAFTAs/GLOBES for Best Actor or Supporting — depending on the campaign of the studio. The movie could jostle for the top 10 Best Picture nominated at this year's Oscars. |

WICKED.......7.5/10 It's a good and well made film set in the world of Wizard of Oz. It solely focuses on Elphaba, the green outcast and her fight for societal acceptance and being true to oneself and being 'good'. Also has subtle themes of inferiority complex and acceptable societal norms. Cynthia Erivo is the lifeblood of this movie. Who knew she could be really beautiful — even with GREEN skin. 🤭 Erivo deserves an Oscar shout for Best Supporting Actress. It's a more deserving campaign than what Ariana Grande fans have been pushing online for months, because I could hardly see the Oscar worthy performance Ariana churned out despite being good and fit for the role. It's an enjoyable watch even though it's a musical, the songs were mostly pretty good especially the ones for Cynthia Erivo — who knew she could really sing asides from her acting talent. She's an all round actress who has the knack of playing oddball talented characters and shining in it. She made it watchable for me and grounded without straying too much in the absurdities that could be associated with Musicals. It had really good cinematography, set design and costume. A good movie but definitely not worth the hype many fans are screaming at making it a Best Picture contender — which I find ludicrous. It's a good entertaining film better left at that.

Juror 2 Strengths: Strong performances and an intriguing concept. Weaknesses: Slow pacing, predictable twists, and lacks emotional depth. Rating Breakdown: Content/Theme: 7/10 Authenticity: 6/10 Execution: 6.5/10 Originality: 5.5/10 Engagement: 7/10 Final Score: 6.4/10 Verdict: A decent courtroom drama with some strong moments, but it doesn’t fully deliver on its potential.

Illusioneffect:The Substance has no iota of anything scary at all. It's only disgusting body horror it has to show. |

armadeo:Nothing to me. She's fine. The person I'd show concern for is Cynthia Erivo with her weird new look like she's seek or undergone chemo with all the hair and facial hair loss. |

Illusioneffect:I haven't really even checked the nominee list to even know what's up. The Golden Globes has largely faded for me following it religiously unlike previous years. I more or less favour the BAFTAS and prolly SAG Awards over it now. Based on popular demand prolly between The BRUTALIST and CONCLAVE for Best Picture. |

Illusioneffect:Are you sure? Well I'm beginning to dabble in horror so I'll check it out. |

Funny how that extensive knowledge, phrase keeps getting tossed around and the "erudite scholar" who claims to have "extensive knowledge" sometimes miss the finer details. It’s almost like they forget that studying for a year doesn’t automatically make you the authority on everything. If this is the level of insight after a whole project, maybe the school’s grading standards need a closer look. But hey, what do I know? |

Miggs:Brilliant film.Probably my favourite of 2024.The film is revealed in chapters like a Tarantino film but in this case,6 chapters. It begins from chapter 4 onto chapter 1 then chapter 5 and so on. If you enjoy 1990s thrillers like 1997 Excess Baggage,1999 Best Laid Plans and even 2014 Gone Girl, then i strongly recommend this film. |

No single win for WICKED with all the vibes and insha'Allah hype and noisemaking Ariana Grande fans has been propagating on social media. 😂😂 They're waiting for more heartbreak at the BAFTAs and ultimately the Academy. Emilia Perez will easily take its place. For Grande fans not to cry too much they had to console them with Box Office Achievement Award. 😭😭 This is a win for CINEMA!! IllusionEffect how market?? ![]() |

abduleez1:Obviously DC villains have more depth than Marvel, who mostly double as jesters or Clowns or even gay as effeminate weaklings who use their spaceship for orgies. Lol. |
