And it wasn't scary to me.
I went in already braced up to be scared shitless but I wasn't and in the 3rd act I was just so relaxed.

On a more serious note, they're ALL not scary to me one bit. I'm just going with the online hype of people shouting this is the scariest movie of 2024 and none delivered on that front.
Smile 2 was more of a psychological horror than having jumpscares, loud music and fear of the dark to scare you. It was deeper.

The only horror film I could remember that gave me something close to a good chill was an old South Korean movie — The Wailing. No horror film I watched in 2024 till now has come close to it's storytelling, acting, character development or dread.

WICKED.......7.5/10

It's a good and well made film set in the world of Wizard of Oz. It solely focuses on Elphaba, the green outcast and her fight for societal acceptance and being true to oneself and being 'good'. Also has subtle themes of inferiority complex and acceptable societal norms.

Cynthia Erivo is the lifeblood of this movie. Who knew she could be really beautiful — even with GREEN skin. 🤭 Erivo deserves an Oscar shout for Best Supporting Actress. It's a more deserving campaign than what Ariana Grande fans have been pushing online for months, because I could hardly see the Oscar worthy performance Ariana churned out despite being good and fit for the role.

It's an enjoyable watch even though it's a musical, the songs were mostly pretty good especially the ones for Cynthia Erivo — who knew she could really sing asides from her acting talent. She's an all round actress who has the knack of playing oddball talented characters and shining in it. She made it watchable for me and grounded without straying too much in the absurdities that could be associated with Musicals.

It had really good cinematography, set design and costume.

A good movie but definitely not worth the hype many fans are screaming at making it a Best Picture contender — which I find ludicrous. It's a good entertaining film better left at that.

Na night sha but there wasn't really any "ambience" if I can call it that.

No single win for WICKED with all the vibes and insha'Allah hype and noisemaking Ariana Grande fans has been propagating on social media. 😂😂

They're waiting for more heartbreak at the BAFTAs and ultimately the Academy. Emilia Perez will easily take its place.

For Grande fans not to cry too much they had to console them with Box Office Achievement Award. 😭😭

This is a win for CINEMA!!

I haven't really even checked the nominee list to even know what's up.
The Golden Globes has largely faded for me following it religiously unlike previous years.

I more or less favour the BAFTAS and prolly SAG Awards over it now.

Based on popular demand prolly between The BRUTALIST and CONCLAVE for Best Picture.

Obviously DC villains have more depth than Marvel, who mostly double as jesters or Clowns or even gay as effeminate weaklings who use their spaceship for orgies. Lol.
