Trust ABA people to protect against this exorbitant increment

solar no high na people one do pass themselves. I pump, use freezer, fridge, fan. I made sure my consistent loads no pass 400W/hr at night. Solar panel does most of the powering during the day. Some a buying car of 14m and have no solar. 5m will, 2.5m can do this. I understand under privileged ones buy middle class with my house. Will spend 10m and do 30kilowat storage and 10kw solar array. I don't use nepa since 2012.

It's always normal for the Disco to degrade an area to the proper band to reflect their amount of power supply they received over a month. This is what AEDC does. We've been degraded to band B for over two months now because they couldn't meet up with 20hrs per day.
You can't charge people on band A tariffs without matching it with the expected supply. That'd be fraudulent. This is where NERDC should come in. Classifications is strictly on amount of supply an area actually receives, and not what the company feels they are able to supply. These guys should take note of this.

I went solar last year. Better late than never. Can't be spending money on fuel and I become lean

I can only speak for my area. My feeder is ukwa 33. Light only comes at night and they take it by 6am.

Few areas do have better supply than ours.

The fact is that with all the hype about Abapower commissioning a powerplant, we thought things could have improved much better. But that's not the case.

Abapower is still getting most of its supply from another GENCO.

Not good. Not good at all.

So, your assertion that those guys will need to change battery by now is wrong. Except they went for lead acid. That was 3 years ago and they still have like 5 years left.

As for the time of the year, it depends on your setup. In fact, wet season is better due to the quality of sunlight and sky clarity than harmattan which is dusty and hazy in the sky and it hinders solar output max.

Alright your 1st paragraph might be correct.
But the second paragraph can only be believed by someone who doesn't use solar

I use solar, and I know that during the wet season, your solar cannot comfortably take you non stop for 3days. And please don't mention the capacity of inverter, most people install based on their required capacity. So if I install like 2 5kvA, I mean it cannot take my intended load for 2 days non stop

So solar is good, but solar is mostly a back up to power supply

That's a lie in cases where power supply in the area is up to 20hrs per day. Whether long run or short run. You can do the math yourself

The increment is much. I used to pay 70 naira and they have increased it to 180 naira.

The band classification is even wrong for our side. Ukwa 33 should be Band E. But they deliberately classified it under band c.

5,000 naira gave me 65.8 kWh on December. So if I want to buy 65.8kwh today, I have to pay 11,844 naira.

Na to adjust seriously. No more ceiling fan, heat no go kill me.

Even the 2 watts, 5 watts energy bulbs I dey leave on at night, I go dey off am.
