tax reform is the way to go. Let state compete and hustle for investment thereby providing more tax and revenue. That way we can stop this feeding bottle republic where northerners don't want to do anything but want money from other states to be shared to them.

It's not just Northerners, the very last VAT report shared on here showed Ogun state and Bayelsa state as been very shameless, to me the worst culprits, in the percentage share of VAT they collected considering what they put in.

Bayelsa incidentally is an oil producing state as well.

All these talks are just gossips to sell newspaper. What else do you want to hear about this tax bills that you have not heard during his media chat. He said he's not against consultations & may even cut some edges but the bill is here to stay. Any other thing is mere gossips.

Even if president Tinubu uses the National Assembly to pass his Tax Reforms Bill and goes to the Supreme Court to stamp it, when he leaves office, the north shall use its undue large political representation in the National Assembly to reverse everything. If political representation is balanced through merger of ailing states in the north, or creation of new states and representative constituencies to fill the yawning gap between the north and the two southern regions, whatever other political reforms of this administration shall stand long after Tinubu leaves office.
