Boko Haram/Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists have killed a yet-to-be confirmed number of Nigerian soldiers, with many still missing following an attack on a Forward Operating Base in the Damboa Local Government Area of Borno State.

According to security sources, the incident occurred on Saturday, January 4, 2025.

The sources added that the terrorists razed many buildings and military operational vehicles during the attack that lasted over two hours.

“25 Taskforce Bde was attacked during the weekend with so many casualties, so far we have recovered over seven bodies,” a source told SaharaReporters on Monday.

“The terror group invaded the camp FOB Sabon Gari around 4am on Saturday, using various weapons.”

Since the death of JAS leader, Abubakar Shekau, ISWAP has been consolidating its grip in locations around Lake Chad.

The sect’s membership has swollen with the defection of hundreds of Boko Haram fighters.

The Nigerian Army says it is committed to wiping out the terrorism from the country.

The terror group has killed many people and displaced millions of individuals mainly in Adamawa, Borno, and Yobe states.

This is sad, I wonder how these terrorists continue to launch such successful attacks against our soldiers, it seems intelligence gathering is zero because our soldiers are supposed to have advance knowledge and be prepared


I think the federal government should stop the rehabilitation and amnesty program for repentant terrorists, they should be killed immediately

From the pix, one can easily notice that the soldiers were relax and weren't expecting attack from these beasts. Because, they've off their boots obviously relaxing. They should have be more vigilant.

Normally after successful attack, those Boko Haram Islamic terrorists used to take the soldiers guns,boots and sometimes even their uniforms.

I believe the soldiers were killed standing on their feet.


Those cowards only know how to Intimidate and kill civilians,if this happens in south East Nigeria government will send all Nigeria soldiers to kill innocent people around the area and burn down the community.

What sort of military acknowledges an attack of this nature. Even Ukraine that mobilization 2.2 million men are claiming 40k kia. Isreal still they its soldiers are immortal but on telegram you see thousands of soldiers with one leg,one hand
