Please, is this growatt inverter an hybrid inverter (GROWATT SPF 3000 TL HVM-24 OFF GRID, 3KW, 24V) ? I intend to use it with 4x 555w Jinko Solar panels and 2 tubular batteries? Thanks

| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Hybrid600: 4:27pm On Jan 06, 2025 |
It's a hybrid inverter Why don't you consider using lithium batteries instead? They'll serve way better than tubular... @valto @isangjohnson got you covered 2extremes: |

Hybrid600:I built one several months back. Charging amp of alternator was almost or more than 1C. Though it was able to start the car effectively but avoided charging via alternator. The curiosity of a man enh.... Another negative factor was surrounding heat. |

This man! I just dey reason am today as I see one guy dey beg people for battery to start his car. I wondered if car batteries have a Lifpo4 version coz I haven't seen any. So meaning if one was to build a Lifpo4 car battery, the amp from alternator will be put into consideration and the engine heat. dollarnaira: |

I think the this inverter is a offgrid and not a hybrid inverter. Or am I wrong? Hybrid600:

On the image next to this one you posted, it is written "integrated MPPT charge controller", that sounds like a hybrid to me. 2extremes: |

You came to the wrong thread, go after some naïve and newbies, perhaps you can sell. But on this thread, we know way more than you think. Anything that doesn't provide non-dependence on Grid and Gen might not sell here. If you ain't got a video demonstration with known apparatuses, then you must be bluffing. SaintUlot: |

Your watt meter is meant to be connected to the source socket on the wall, that way you can measure the energy with and without your energy saving device. On the other hand, you also need a clamp meter and stranded cable for connections, so that you can clamp the cables between the energy saving device and the source wall socket, then the connected appliance. You can also use 2 watt meter for the same test, one on the wall and one behind your energy saving device. Do this and we proceed from there. SaintUlot: |

Laughnow419:This is false abeg. Most of this solar gen doesn't use parts that are common to source. You will want to say why not use an equivalent part? It will take time to find and source. Not every fault in solar gen is fixable once MCU don get fault, otilor |

Laughnow419: Laughnow419:A major disadvantage of solar generators and similar portable all-in-one power solutions is that most of them are proprietary solutions with unique parts and components. This locks you to the original seller or whoever compiled it such that you have to return to them if you have an issue or even to make simple upgrades or alterations, and they will support you or provide extra accessories or add-ons at premium prices. Go to the Powerbank thread you created and see how users are breaking their heads on how to connect their portable solutions to solar. I see that you are even looking for a repairer to fix your power station That is why most of us here advocate for normal inverter-battery installations where you have leeway to modify your installations as you like and you can easily get support or assistance because it is very common. And to think that some of these portable solutions are nearly twice as expensive of their equivalents in normal inverter-battery installations is all the more shocking. PS: If you are in Lagos, reach me so that I can refer you to a very capable hand that may be able to fix your power station. |
