JUST IN: Chelsea may do more incoming business other than centre back. Remember what I told you on Nkunku, in case he or his agent says let me go, could be one to watch. (@FabrizioRomano)

We need two cb badia and disasi needs to go ,my joy is Andrey is coming back next season,we need him ,a striker possibly omorodion or delap for me.

It's astonishing to see seasoned professionals make rookie mistakes, leaving you wondering how they attained such high-ranking positions.
How on earth that someone with extensive experience in football ditch Chalobah for Disasi?
This is a sackable offense.

So why did you bring up tired legs as an excuse when Haaland was busy shooting blanks?

Are you one of those people who thinks Haaland's resurgence alone is enough for City to win the PL?
I brought tired legs after Haaland carried them and later got tired of carrying the burden. He has started carrying them again so there's hope especially where Maresca and Arteta are foolish not to get quality strikers for their teams.

I can't do better by aligning with your agenda that is faulty like your support for Jackson. grin

Oh god! My support for Jackson is just as solid as yours, bro. I definitely want someone better to be our number one striker, so we actually agree on that. But what I can’t handle is your constant attacks on him while you refuse to criticise those who should also be sharing the burden of contributing goals.

Just imagine excusing a £250k-a-week player whose shooting ability is worse than MJ's. You even said it here that he was still practicing his shooting! My guy is on £250k for goodness' sake… even my late grandmother would shoot better than Sancho from her grave!

Three trebles in a row, with which false 9?
de bruyne, Jesus, gundogan

Jackson is spending his second year and we saw how he missed chances that caused us to miss top 4 last season and this season you guys were praising his 1 goal in every 5 big chances got and it's nothing but irritating.

There's an urgent need to drum it into the ears of fans and those at Chelsea to replace him and achieve progress. We must not turn to a midtable team permanently because of a below average striker.

Name the seasons they won these trebles without a striker.

No one is arguing against us getting a better striker. I hope when we buy Haaland or a better striker, they will convert all every chance. In the meantime, what do we do with your Lil baby, Ben Johnson and the 250k per week winger who’s still practicing how to take shots?

Guy rest. He has completely forgotten you started this debate on his side, sitting very firmly with his talking points, but just differing a little bit. It's a mental flaw.

He's lost track of who said what, who argues what, what nuances there are in each debate, and most especially what not to debate.

He is an A or Z guy, incapable of seeing B to Y or any layers in any debates, except you agree wholeheartedly with him.

Whilst disagreeing with you, he will come up with the most shocking talking points like ..."Halaand got tired of carrying city but decided to start carrying them again".... and this is just the latest one. He will distance himself from his own talking points where necessary, and then jump on them again as soon as it makes sense to do so.

A40 got the perfect name for him. Elejo wewe. He just likes the sound of his own keyboard.

Ironically, it is the same defence that he played and won multiple trophies, conceding less goals along than the so called better Reece James.

And also, isnt it funny that a proponent of Johan cruyff school of thought is preoccupied with a defensive minded full back?
I am a proponent of Rinus Michels/Johan Cryuff but without losing all sense of caution. I am a big fan of attacking full backs, only just the types that know how to defend as well.

Football has changed. Rinus Michels never had to play against ultra pressing machines like Liverpool. If he did, he would vary some of his methods. But I don't need him to. I can just see many decades later, that you can bring your own attacking plan all you want, but if you need your defenders to wear their defensive acumen at certain phases in a game, then they must. If they can't, na wahala.

Reece James, when fit, is the quintessential FB - one who carries balance of all aspects of the game in one body. We don't celebrate an ultra attacking FB who's lost in a defensive shape, asking for directions

You can only talk for yourself bro.

Jackson that someone like Nateevs adopted and defended by saying we only needed quality support casts? What name did he not call me for asking for his replacement?

Now that his Jackson is casting terribly on his face, he is avoiding rating his performances. Same thing he did for Morata is playing out. Later he will go completely dumb after defending the below average striker for months. grin

1. No one called you names for calling for Jackson's replacement. This is pure hallucination. You actually think you are the only one calling for Jackson's replacement?

2. No one has avoided rating Jackson's performance. When did this happen?

You were all about support casts and against getting a shiny striker to replace your adopted boy.

nateevs:
I kid you not bro. 92 mins of football, and apart from one failed square pass (where even then Sterling went into a brain jam), our RW and LW did not create a single chance for a striker position. Not one single chance. Zilch, ZERO!

The tactics were spot on. The structure is setup to isolate wingers in 1v1 situations, and I counted at least 20 times where Sterling and Madueke found themselves combined in that situation. The tactics also has at least in every attacking event, a minimum of 5 players arriving in the box.

But not one single time did these two ninjahs make any single chance. I mean, not one single chance to score from. And the problem is that even though this is positional football, both those players don't understand positioning of others around them. They first want to run with the ball, before computing space and positioning of others. This is why you see them running into traffic, time after time after time, despite having 5/10 yards off space only moments before. And this is the fundamental issue we are going to have against low block teams.

It's a serious situation we have. Substitute those two for any unknown, but technically-minded players and they would have created at least 5 scoring chances.

This is a crisis and a serious emergency.

Wetin shiny striker wan do?
nateevs:
Like I say, Airmark is creating a followership on this topic but only on half the story.

This is the nuance. Only 1 of those big chances fell to the striker yesterday. The other 3 fell to Enzo, Madueke and Sterling. All 3 failed to convert a single one.

If we had the prolific Halaand on our side, the score would have 4-3. If we didn't, but had say Nico Williams on the left, Olise on the right, and say a Lampard type midfielder instead of Enzo, it would have been 5-4 in favour of Chelsea. That's the other half of the story.

We need to score 80 goals minimum to stand a chance of finishing in top four. 87+ for top 3 and 90+ for top 2.

A prolific striker is only going to get you 25 (PL only) of those. Where's the rest going to come from?

That's why the more pertinent problem is the support cast we have and not a prolific striker.
nateevs:
2. No one has avoided rating Jackson's performance. When did this happen?
Not too late

airmark:
Nateevs, Ibime, Timbros, Diggz can you rate Jackson's performance on a scale of 1 to 10?

Was watching the Milan derby and switched to Nottingham v Wolves at half time. I’m watching both now. The derby is quite intense. End to end stuff with plenty chances. Still 2-1 tho. AC are fighting to get back in the game.
