Thailand’s e-Visa system simplifies the application process, helping travelers determine the right visa type for their stay.

Thailand’s e-visa process

The Thai e-Visa initiative is designed to simplify the visa application process, making it more accessible, efficient, and user-friendly.

According to a statement by the Royal Thai Embassy, physical applications will not be accepted, instead, all applications from the eligible countries must be completed online via the embassy’s official website.

The approved African countries include:

* Federal Republic of Nigeria
* Republic of Benin
* Republic of Cameroon
* Republic of Ghana
* Central African Republic
* Republic of the Congo
* Republic of Equatorial Guinea
* Democratic Republic of São Tomé and Príncipe
* Republic of Chad

“The Royal Thai Embassy has the right to cancel the visa applications should the applicants fail to provide the evidence of their presence within the aforementioned countries while applying for the visa.” the statement added

The embassy advised that all travel booking confirmations must be provided upon submission of the visa application.

This includes return flight details showing applicant’s name, departure and return date, all flights en route from the aforementioned countries to Thailand.” the statement added.

The embassy mentioned that visa applications are usually processed within five working days upon receipt, although processing times may be longer in certain cases.

Applicants were also encouraged to submit their visa applications 4 – 6 weeks before their planned travel date, but not more than three months in advance.
Thailand-Africa relationship.

In the early 2010s, Thailand launched the “Look West Policy” to strengthen ties with Africa, with the 2013 Thai-Africa Initiative broadening engagement.

For instance, in 2023, trade between Thailand and Kenya reached $256.16 million, with Thai exports like cars, sugar, and rice totaling $226.82 million, while imports from Kenya, including chemicals and jewelry, were valued at $29.34 million.

Sudan is also a key partner, particularly in education and trade.

Sudan offers 80-100 annual scholarships to Thai-Muslim students, with over 500 currently studying Islam there.

In 2023, Thailand-Sudan trade totaled $23.05 million, covering exports like cars and chemicals and imports such as plants and medical instruments.

This highlights Thailand’s efforts to deepen economic relations with Africa.

Go to sukhumvit in Bangkok and see your brothers peddling drugs to tourists without shame, infact go to online forums and see Thais complaining about this gory sight, the whole place looks like computer village with shouts of Nna here and there. Sugar club and many other clubs on the same street are not even allowing Nigerians in the clubs anymore. Look at the names of Nigerians caught for drugs in Thailand over the last 2 decades and tell me what tribe takes the cake. Infact a famous Thai cop specifically dropped y’all and described you lot as a disgrace to Africa. The video is available on YouTube and it’s not just 1. So yes this stereotype is 100% true.

What a cop out, facts are facts and bad behavior from any one needs to be called out even if it feels uncomfortable for you. So no, I’m not stopping it and ain’t nothing reckless about the fact that the ones who have done the most damage to the country’s reputation in south East Asia happen to come from a culture that celebrates criminal ventures, how about we try fixing such culture or are we defending it like we do sports teams? I guess you missed the part where I said no tribe has a monopoly of crime in Nigeria but there is one in particular that has done great damage to the country’s reputation in South East Asia (that is a statistical fact and no amount of tap dancing will conceal that fact). Again, I’m not pious, I just happen to believe criminality is bad and those even making excuses for them are worse, just because I’m not righteous doesn’t mean I don’t live a decent enough life and encourage everyone around me to do the same, I don’t make excuses for anyone’s crime because they happen to be from a particular tribe or not. You see when you result to personal attacks in the face of statistical facts (which is a particular set of Nigerians are over represented when it comes to criminality in South east Asia), you have shown you are a bad faith actor and have no business debating opinions in the marketplace of ideas without resulting to name calling. I can see you lot lack comprehension skills and next to non existent reading skills. I literally said no tribe has the monopoly of crime in Nigeria (how many takes do you need for it to stick?). In south east Asia the actions of those you seek to defend has seen the country disrespected and flagged as criminals. There are loads of Yorubas and Hausas perpetrating evil (funny that’s all the tribes in Nigeria most contributors on this forum knows) and I condemn them but the issue raised here is that of South East Asia and the criminality by Nigerian gangs mainly of Igbo extraction which has led to insults from those not fit to clean the average Nigerian shoe. You can point the finger all over as you are inclined to but those boys standing around in Sukhumvit and Pattaya all have one thing in common aside from being Nigerians. If calling this out means I hate this group, how about the Thai cop that specifically named the group as a problem in the country? Is he also motivated by tribalism? Or a conclusion based on observed behaviors?
