He will get it back.

But I like when debtors are treated roughly.

They are often heartless.

His wives and 9 children living in the house can't notify him? Or he's unreachable? What a about his tenant?

That's good for him, he knew what he was doing, without court taking drastic action he wont pay or show face

But before the judgement was passed the case must have be going on for a while so in entire Kano no one can even help him or borrowed him 300k to save him from homelessness?

This is not justice. It's vengeance.

You sold a house worth 20milion for 2 million to settle 300k debt.
Re: Man Loses Home Worth N20m Over N300,000 Debt by baralatie(m): 12:57pm On Jan 08, 2025
According to him, he failed to appear in the court during sittings despite several summon notices pasted on his house gate ‘because he travelled out of the state’, but the court sold his house at the sum and threw him, his wife and nine children out.

He added that he has now brought the N300,000 debt, but the creditor rejected it. The court said he had a chance to appeal against the judgement within three weeks of its verdict.

Trying to be cheeky and playing on emotions.
Court summoned him severally, but he refused to appear in court, feeling nothing will happen.
So you expect the judge to just dismiss the case like that why you go on living comfortably and putting the person you borrowed money from in deep trouble?
Now that the house has been sold, the 300k has suddenly appeared from somewhere!
The only problem here is the house worth 20m being sold for mere 2m,though I feel this debtor has exaggerated the value of the house to make the judgement look further suspicious.

what kind of wickedness is this. How can some humans be this heartless. Is the debt of 300k enough to buy a human life talk more of breath for 24hrs. ! If this creditor isn’t careful, God will give him worse pains in the rest of his existence. Bad man!

So he had the 300k all those while but refused to pay up his debt,to the extent of skipping court invitations?

Well,I hope myself and my fellow debtors are learning angry
he should be given room to explain himself for not having to raise the money early enough. Risking his entire family just like that , no one will want to dare such

yes. I suspected so as well. The creditor has a wicked conscience. He must have been the one who might have purchased it underground.

The house was sold on the 4th and you brought the 300k on the 6th,so since all the time they have been asking you to pay up till you get to court you couldn't get the money but after the house was auctioned you got it.only debtors will sympathise with this manhe was out of the country but his wife and children were there and they have not informed him about court notices?.we Nigerians can support rubbish,so when the house was auctioned he reappeared in the country...don't say this kind of nonsense again abeg
you should know it is as a result of financial challenges that made him borrow in the 1st place. People think he doesn’t wish to pay, but why will a man with at least 10 mouths to feed will act that irresponsible. Circumstances happens to everyone… make we dey try fear God. Am not referring to you but the creditor who went that far to render his family homeless… there is no way this can be painted, it pure wickedness

This is what I call using the law as a weapon rather than a guide.

The court is supposed to protect the oppressed but in Nigeria the opposite is the case.
For examples some one was sentence to death for stealing chicken and another is moving around freely for stealing billion.

infact if anybody quotes me and say something that is not nice and I discovered I am richer than you. I will send the police after you. but if you are richer than me then I will let it slide.
May God continue to bless you..! your type no plenty. Aswear..! What a wicked world we live in… see as cold dey catch person..!

Some people just like trouble. You did not appear for court summons and you did not pay your creditor. Now you have lost your home. What diplomacy and abeg could have solved don turn to something else
Re: Man Loses Home Worth N20m Over N300,000 Debt by franvincoop: 1:47pm On Jan 08, 2025
Rather than returning the 300k, why the man no just go borrow 2.5 million use proxy bid for the house, im for win am.
And the balance after removal of the 300k plus interest, damages and court fees would have been returned to him after the bid.
That man no wise @ all inside his wickedness.
Wise man go die na for foolish person e backyard.

this debtor sympathy doesn’t work,he intentionally invaded payment.perhaps he thought nothing will happen.he should have sold the house himself and pay off the debt then he will have over 19m available for himself, period…that’s the fate of people who tought they are wicked.
He has a wife and 9 children, person the borrowed him money may not have up to 3children.he can afford 20m house but can’t afford to pay 300k loan.the judge is not stupid,he acted based on the attitude of the borrower.
People like that might have boasted that he will not pay and nothing will happen.

No injustice here...he must have had it coming! While I hope he gets his house back, I think he's also inconsiderate by only coming up with the money when he realized the magnitude of his loss. Borrow if you must, but work towards paying what you owe...the lender also needs his funds
