Which one should be taken seriously? Abuja FHC? Wike used the same High Court that we should not take seriously to do his bidding and he ruled for 8 years. As long as it is a matter of the state, the state High court should be taken seriously. They should either appeal the judgement or INEC should conduct a fresh election. The thing is, I believe we forget that Wike will not rule River State again and the possibility of having someone that will bow to all his bidding is slim. So there will likely be another tussle with any of his selections. If it was that easy, I don't think Fubara would have been his 10th choice. We should remain with Fubara till his tenure expires.

Judicial hierarchy is no longer respected. Until the NJC sanctions these judges appropriately, this is what will keep happening. Last time they met at the Court of Appeal’s annual conference in Abuja, they were pampering themselves and giving lofty speeches. You had SANs defending judges. Pity.

At a time when sane minds are looking up to the judiciary to be unbiased and give learned judgements, we now have one so called lawyer stating that the former governor has set a precedent by using 6 State legislators to pass budget of the State and in like manner the person incumbent should follow same practice and this is coming from the Rivers State High Court and the so called judge is allowing such practice from a former governor and former legislators as precedent !!!!!!
