Nope. I understand the Nigerian system very well. I will get a topic police and military personal contacts, I will give them something in case I need help.

I have people who have relocated and are doing very great. It is a risky I am willing to take. Things are also cheaper in Nigeria. I pay equivalence of N6m on two houses every months including experience.
You own your home outrightly in Lagos. I have seen extremely wealthy Nigerians who who do not still look happy.

I have had thid plan for the past seven years and was in Nigeria recently.
There is no I understand Nigerian system. If you suffer some harm or loss as a result of corporate or government negligence or some sort of accident - you'd get nothing.
Also, and this is a big one, you'd be expected to attend all sorts of occasions you don't care about simply because you're around.
Also, you talk of bullying, you ever heard of kids being recruited into cults. Which is better?

So what is stopping you from entering the next available flight to Nigeria? dey play..
She loves nigeria due to our value for the family structure not because of our many challenges due to bad leadership!
If she was currently, given a choice between Nigeria and america, she will choose america a 100 times!

Cult is worse but they will be in a good school where the chances of that is slim. As per corporate harm, It is a chance I am willing to take. I wont attend all events and one of my biggest reason for Nigeria is to expand into other African countries for business. I may have a secondary location, I made a good research already in a close African country where I can always escape.

I have my passport and work here going on all the time and can always return anytime I want. I will still be filling taxes here every year and maintaining residence but I believe I have overstayed. If I never travelled, I would still have lived in Nigeria all these years even with the associated risks. My views are quite different from those of individuals like : People still in Nigeria or who just spent few years abroad or individuals who are in occupations where they have to physically work overseas.

In Nigeria, I can live a semi-retired life in my prime and have others work for me. That is a huge advantage plus, no mortgage or bills.

Well, that's because we are largely a culturally grounded people.

Thank God for the Yorubas and Hausas... They are the main people still proudly keeping their traditional values and passing on these legacies.

Just imagine if we could be more United to install corruption-free leadership at all levels.

Nigeria would be ahead of most Asian world powers.
So ibos, benis and other minorities are not passing on their legacies?

Starzo:

Yes they are... But, not with the same consistency and consciousness as those other 2.

There is actually a researched stat that says most languages outside those 2 face relative extinction in about half a century from now.

Even beyond Nigeria, among most migrant families, Yoruba language and culture are still the most preserved among and within families, keeping pace with Indians and Asians.

The bolded is a huge one. You are right - if you can somehow be in Nigeria and still earn a full salary of someone working in US, UK, etc, you'd be nuts not to choose Nigeria.
But that cult thing sha, don't know much about it but i hear it's pervasive here.
Your idea about a third African country (which one - Kenya, Ghana?) also seems good on paper but nothing like a place you know very well and have people

I wont live in the third country, just a back up. I have a friend who has lives in Takoradi for a long time and we are in serious discussions. Kids wont be in public universities in Nigeria where cultism is rampant. Even in the UK, there are lots of street gang activities for youth more than Lagos.

You are right... BUT, I don't know... Nigeria is not organized and that can give rise to all sorts of unintended disadvantages... as well as opportunities...

I crave for a little bit of chaos at this time. It gets to a point you become a stranger to your own country when you stay away for too long. It is too quiet here for my own liking and I am alone sometimes on the street. I carve noise, I want street hawkers and foods. I want to feel alive basically and, live a semi-retired life. There is no guarantees in life and things may go south but, I am willing to try.

Life is always greener on the other side. Who knows the amount of lies Nigerians told her about this shit hole? She's free to come and feel this T-pain with us.

BTW, I can understand why she's particular about Nigerian culture. Yes, she African American and those people have no culture.
She was in Nigeria recently and she said 90% of Nigerians are suffering. This was the good part of her comment. She is probably referring to Nigerian abroad who are professionals and work their ass out to get their education

Nigeria, great country, giant of Africa. Last year, we recorded the highest diaspora remittances. Nigerians in diaspora aka IJGB came home for detty December. People all over the world are proud identifying with Nigeria but some few inconsequential noisemakers wake up daily with negative energy, hating their own country. Nigeria will never bow nor succumb to your online mob mentality. If you don't like our great country, you're free to relocate to Somalia or Yemen.

After God, na Tinubu
💪 God bless Nigeria
after Tinubu na Satan.

Guz: chill; she's a literature student who uses EUPHEMISM pretty much... Irony is a bit obvious... She uses figurative expressions most of the time. Read btw the lines; decipher/decode. She could be ROASTING U!

She praises U for your values (specifically cultural-o), hardwork & tells you U can be/do whatever U like as a Naija person & get away with it!

Actively suspect or listen up whenever some1 uses: I WISH...". Why? Don't just wish, just go do those famous TESTS to confirm/verify or validate Ur Nigerianess/roots. Na with figurative expressions Naim literature students dey take find trouble...& dem go laugh at Ur naivety! Beware!

Mvmu, there's a big difference between Nigeria(as a useless country) and Nigerians(hardworking individuals who strive to thrive despite years of neglect by their useless government).
She was talking about Nigerians, not Nigeria, before you ediotic APC apologists will start jubilating.
