There seem to be trouble following the announcement of Eric Chelle as the new Super Eagles coach on Tuesday.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is under fire as MC Oran of Algeria has revealed that the newly appointed Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle is still under contract with the club.

Despite having a contract with MC Oran, the NFF went on to name Chelle the Super Eagles' head coach on Tuesday.

This move has caused friction with the Algerian club, which reportedly feels Chelle's departure undermines its ongoing project.

Chelle reportedly attended training with MC Oran on Wednesday, but the club then called for an emergency meeting to discuss the situation.

The Club highlighted the need to protect "the rights of both parties."

"This meeting will determine whether he stays or leaves the team, especially since he is still under contract," the club stated per BSN.

There appears to be a clause in Chelle's contract that allows him to leave if offered a national team position.

This clause was triggered by the NFF's offer, leading to Chelle's acceptance of the Super Eagles job.

The outcome of the meeting between Chelle and MC Oran remains uncertain.

It's possible Chelle could remain with the Algerian club if a solution is reached, or he may be released after the contractual clause is exercised.

Nigerian football governing body is not serious. This is not the calibre of coach that we need to take us to world cup next year. Everything under Tinubu is a mess

Not NFF's problem, work is not a marriage. Not to say that NFF is okay or that the new coach is okay for Nigeria. It's the coach duty to close the other contract. People get new jobs before they resign at their old jobs, duh.

Why can't we get a world class decent coach or at least a top rate coach?

Or is it that we lack d reputation to attract one
Or d nff is using bad contracts that benefits them majorly to scare good coaches away.

Maybe the club was treating the guy with levity and disdain before. Perhaps, they were planning to kick him out. Since the NFF has now shone interest in him, they want to value what they have.

By this singular action the NFF has announcement to the world that there is no NIGERIA capable of coaching the super Eagle. That's why they are looking for coach from anywhere. Whosever is in charge NFF should be fired. The guy is disgracing us in all ramifications.

With thier corrupt tendencies. They are using the foreign coach contract for their own selfish corrupt business

What an insults to Nigerian coaches. Imagine hiring a Malian to take charge of our Eagles. This is a big big slap. Is not like he has even won anything in his entire career. Do we blame him? No. It is Nff that is visionless that we will blame
