How is that your problem??
Ha ls he ever ruled or personally identified with Iragbiji?

So we should be praising people doing all they could to demarket Lagos State at any given opportunity because they're selling fake and substandard items in Lagos?

Santalpharay:
And do you think that the attraction will be in Lagos when you are asking the people contributing immensely for it's development through business and tax to leave. The so called diaspora people coming in December, do you think they are only your people? Every region grow by trying to attract people, not telling people to leave. I always laugh at you guys stewpidity. Meanwhile, it is still OUR COLLECTIVE LAGOS because we enjoy our selves, tap our blessings too because God always bless our hustles
Re: How Nigeria’s Biggest City Became The World’s Hottest Winter Party Destination by Didi2d(m): 8:44am On Jan 10, 2025
I hope our government take advantage of this detty December, most especially lagos government to build more and beautiful infrastructure and good roads, install street lights, invest more in entertainment.
And this must be done before coming December.

And I don't know why the author was also attributing detti December to Ghana and south Africa, when south Africans were also trooping to enjoy Nigeria

You make a party venue, and charge money for entry.

Or you can do a museum with your cultural artifacts, and charge for entry.

This news from the CNN will make some people to cry blood today. As they always feel sad and mad whenever they read positive news about Lagos state, Southwest and Nigeria at large.

Yorubaland will keep winning!

Apart from Lagos we have other sites that will naturally attract international pilgrimages (and tourists) throughout the year. For example, the Osun River, if several billions can be spent to modernize it and make it very attractive much more is possible...

(You may not hold any of your traditional believes but you should not throw away your heritage. So many people are already creating the replica (of for example the Oshun river) in their countries so why should we deny them the opportunity to visit Nigeria as pilgrimages.) - Life is not just about stealing money and sending your children abroad. We should create environments, systems and cultures that our future generations will bless our memories because of it.

Special sites and landmarks with no religious values should be modernise and equipped with huge amusement amenities (like the China and other countries are doing). We should be intentional about everything.

The picture below is a picture of Kaaba some years ago and also a recent picture.

NEWLY EDITED:
Even as a rich private individul with cash to spare, do something (in your name) for your immediate environment that your contemporary and the upcoming generations will bless your memories for:

1. Build Enduring Infrastructure
- Construct schools, libraries, or community centers.
- Establish hospitals or clinics with long-term funding.
- Develop sustainable housing or public amenities like parks.

2. Invest in Education
- Create scholarships or educational grants.
- Support vocational training programs to empower local talent.
- Donate books, technology, or resources to schools.

3. Promote Economic Empowerment
- Fund small businesses or entrepreneurial ventures through microloans.
- Establish a community foundation to support local projects.
- Create job opportunities through sustainable businesses.

4. Contribute to Environmental Sustainability
- Plant trees and protect natural habitats.
- Support renewable energy projects.
- Set up waste recycling initiatives.

5. Endow Foundations or Trusts
- Create foundations focused on critical issues like education, healthcare, or poverty alleviation.
- Endow trusts to ensure funds are available for future community needs.

6. Support Arts and Culture
- Fund community arts programs or cultural centers.
- Preserve historical landmarks or support restoration projects.
- Sponsor local festivals or cultural exhibitions.

7. Champion Health and Wellness
- Build fitness and wellness centers.
- Provide long-term funding for free health checkups or vaccination drives.
- Address mental health by funding counseling services.

8. Encourage Civic Engagement
- Sponsor leadership training for youths.
- Support platforms for civic education and participation.
- Fund community-led projects to empower locals to take charge.

9. Mentorship and Knowledge Transfer
- Create mentorship programs to guide young leaders.
- Document and share their journey and experiences to inspire others.

10. Focus on Morality
- Support initiatives that uphold moral values and community ethics.
Point 10 contradicts many of the earlier points.

How?

Moral values are principles or standards of behavior that guide individuals in distinguishing right from wrong and help them live in harmony with others. They are the ethical beliefs and practices that influence how people act and make decisions in their personal and social lives. These values often reflect cultural, religious, or philosophical teachings and are essential for building trust, cooperation, and mutual respect in society.

Examples of moral values include:

1. Honesty – Being truthful and transparent.

2. Integrity – Acting consistently with one's moral principles.

3. Rspect – Treating others with dignity and consideration.

4. Kindness – Showing compassion and empathy.

5. Responsibility – Being accountable for one's actions.

6. Fairness – Ensuring justice and equality in interactions.

7. Courage – Standing up for what is right, even when it's difficult.

8. Humility – Recognizing and respecting one's limitations and others' strengths.

These values help individuals contribute positively to their communities and develop a sense of purpose and fulfillment.

I saw this on CNN and I said wow! It is now becoming obvious to the West and all those who cares to know that Nigeria is indeed one best place to be.

We understand the setbacks but who would believe that gun violence in America claimed over 46,000 lives in 2023 and over 28,000 people died same year in flu related cases? Let's cherish and celebrate what we have and like they always say, No place like home.
one post from the fakest news network in the world, CNN and we're in fantasy land already.

The number of people in Nigeria that have died from road accident due to bad roads, the number of expectant mothers who have died from childbirth related issues and those who have died from our advanced chemist shops called hospital is worse than those figures on US

What is Nigeria's life expectancy again, 55 years?

Rubbish.

Let's be realistic and hoping and working for a greater country but not be carried away by a misleading article

This "Detty December" flow that Lagos has been enjoying for some years should extend significantly to other cities like PH, Ibadan, Calabar and Warri. (I mentioned these cities because they are relatively peaceful and already enjoy some tourism).

The Ministry of Information and National Orientation could also carve out a campaign to motivate Nigerians in diaspora, Africans and all other races to enjoy this experience. Not to talk of the religious gatherings during that same period that already attract hundreds of thousands internally and externally. These are programs to highlight Nigeria as a hub of good, and not all negatives like corruption and insecurity.
I agree with this

Calabar dey even get festival during that time. I hope they can extend it to there

There is a difference between IGBOs and PEOPLE!

By the way,We thought all IGBO will have left by now since "DONT INVEST LAGOS CAMPAIGN" of early last year after LANDMARK demolition.
Its very shameful if they are still around upon all those threats as if yorubas begged them to stay.
GOD BLESS OTHER TRIBES!

Let me remind them again that they should leave and let see how LAGOS will fall without them or stop the threat forever!
Your older papa Know more than you cos you are still a baby. The government headed by North and West has been working tirelessly for your well-being to make sure Igbos come to Lagos for every transactions concerning trade. That is why they make sure that Lagos Ports remains 95 percent chance of bringing goods into NIGERIA of which the South Easterners are the major customers. Let them keep the playing ground open and level and let's see who comes to who begging. You might feign ignorant of these measures put in place just to keep Lagos afloat but it is a glaring truth. Meanwhile you can't ask some people not to operate from a certain part of the country since you said it is one NIGERIA. I know why your fathers are afraid of this coming Nation called BIAFRA. You think it is for no reason. The truth is fighting you inside your heart now. Keep ignoring it.

Destination good
But they destroyed one of the most important beach fronts because of coastal highway that may never materialize las las. That would have been another great spot for all these arrivals. Will they set up an excellent system to make the influx increase year in year out? They'll cry overwhelmed now. Lasg better plan adequate so this can turn global with tens of thousands trooping in.

And as expected, it will overwhelm Lagos and hence pour into Ogun State and Ondo. Are both State Governments going to wake up and invest in this assured annual event or they'll be myopic as usual?
