Compensation was actually paid and was about 120million but the pastor was asking for 900million. A staff of the church actually signed for the compensation and this gave the LASG the right to demolish.

Last I checked, Religious houses have never been directly nor indirectly in charge of any sector of this nation as seen in top developed Religious nations.

How many times have churches and mosques leaders been consulted to help steer the nation in the right leadership directions?!!

Apart from the places being occupied by Religious houses, the othe parts unoccupied by Religious centers, why are there no industries there?!!

Buhari spent trillions claiming to do infrastructures and projects, why have these not impacted the nation positively?!! Let me guess, churches blocked them from going into full operations.

I preached the Bible most of my life, was in the church Monday to Sunday. We pray a lot and the country is in more mess.

The GOs are in Cahoot with the politicians.
Religion is the biggest fear inducing bandage we have in Africa.

There is no divine favour anywhere, we have ro plan and work together, we have to stop spending hours asking help from the sky. You do not have to take my word for it at this rate, the country will be hell in the next five years.

He was compensated with over 110, million naira or let's say 100million plus, money paid to them, documents signed and agreement was reached.

Lagos government gave them ultimatum to remove their properties pending the pulling down of the structure.
Now I think, to the best knowledge of the pastor and his legal team, they thought they are being cheated and the place should be valued billion naira, so prior to the demolition, like 2 days for the demolition to go, they refunded the money to the Lagos state government and said it is not acceptable by them, now I think Lagos state denied ever receiving the money and claimed they have reached a concrete agreement and that the pastor is no longer incharge. Even I watched one of the guys working for the pastor gave exact accounts of what happened similar to this. Then now, I don't know may be it will be termed blackmailing, claiming government demolished his orphanage and his free school property and his church without due process, that this is a building he has and duly paid for. So, who is lying now? What if they refused to acknowledge the money he refunded and refused to accept after all payments and negotiations concluded. His lawyer didn't do well. Hope he won't loose everything.
Now the op is being sentimental in his reports, cutting all other evidence out including one of his members that was interviewed, acknowledging receiving over 100million naira but the money was later refunded after all documents signed.

Majority of people living at Okota are IBOS. Firstly, when the Bridge (Flyover) from Okota (Cele end) to Lawanson side across Apapa Oshodi Expressway was built, many houses were destroyed. The only building (2 storey ) left now whose occupants are mainly Church presently was abandoned that time with everybody already parked out awaiting demolition.

Power Pentecostal Church was before the Canal bridge. After that bridge going to Cele on the left side where NURTW created illegal buses garage and few Bukas ( local restaurant), you have about two Churches in the Swampy / Slum area. Is that the Church or another one?

It is not by force for Nigeria to be one country. The South West cannot continue to tolerate nuisances from these people. Lagos State should go ahead with their projects.

If that place had been like that during Wike's tenure in Rivers State, it would have long been cleaned for development. Except, it is not that place I described above which I visited last year January after over a decade. They sell food, alcoholic drinks and smoke in that garage leading to the entrance.

I have no problem with destruction of People's properties by Lagos state government, but what I have problem is them destroying people's properties without any prior notice. You just wake up one morning and your house is leveled aground without any form of compensation. The same modus operandi the emperor of Obio Akpor is using in Abuja. If I say what is on my mind now , I am going to be labeled a tribalist, So let me just keep shut.

However ,if actually this is how the land were everyone is a PhD holder is operating primitively and sadistically, I am sorry for the land that no one has common first school leaving certificate.

Lagos Govt provided documents for the settlement with the lawyer representing the church. Now, the church says the lawyer was not supposed to represent the church. Someone is lying, and the lawyer should be debarred. I also feel the church may be pulling a stunt so people won't know they had reached a settlement to close the school and push the kids out. It is hard to know what to believe, but the demolition continued because Lagos Govt had and presented all the documents.
