I hardly post anything on Nairaland but I read posts and comments. My current monthly net salary is 750,000. A relative residing in Bulgaria has secure a one year work permit for me and what I need to do next is apply for the work visa. I have read many posts of people asking questions whether to travel or stay in Nigeria and retain their job. There has been many different views and opinions. If you are earning 750,000 a month, will you leave it and travel to Bulgaria on a work permit. Note that the job is a warehouse/construction worker role with monthly salary of 800 euro

Research Bulgaria thoroughly and also ask Nigerians living there (but take their words with a grain of salt!)

No job is 100% secured in Nigeria and what My relative told me is that if I get extension of my work permit after one, things will get better in two or three years

you earn 750k but you reason like this. How can you relative secure job for you in Bulgaria Did you interview? Do you understand their language .

This is how you would get duped. If you earn 750k as you claim you should be able to go there on visit visa to confirm too. But this smells like scam.

By all means leave the 750k job, and move to Bulgaria. Afterall in Nigeria, nothing is guaranteed, but in Bulgaria there are more guarantees.

Your exit from that role will be the answer to the prayers of the person the universe is lining up to replace you biko. The carousel must keep turning.

note that i did not pay any money to him. i will only have to cover the work visa fees, flight and other expenses. so if embassy approves it fine. if not, i continued with my current job.

Op. Take the advice of the person who said you should take leave and go there for visit .

You're earning 750k net here per month,going to take 800euro is like going a step back.

Rent alone has significantly reduced that 800. Not to mention utility and other expenses. With your salary here , you should not be traveling to earn less than 1500 euro. Think it through before you resign from your current job o.
