The dominant ethnic group in Rivers state are the Igbos(Ikwerre,Ndoni,Ndoki,Ekpeye,Etche,Egbema,etc)They dictate the socio-cultural,Political and Economic spheres of Rivers! Fubara is the only non Igbo to ever rule Rivers since the last 26 years!!

So who'll stop Igbos from celebrating Igbo day in Rivers!!

The faction started when some Ohaneze led by Chibuike Amechi then Governor of Rivers state pledged loyalty to APC and Buhari while others supported PDP GEJ in 2015.

Descendants of the Chibuike Amechi team voted Uche Okwukwu while the GEJ supporters voted Mbata today.

And a large percentage of Delta are Igbos and have produced Ohaneze president

funny enough where fubura came from (opobo) they speak Igbo there generally there and even fubara can speak Igbo very well and he was even interested in the outcome of the ohaneze tin because every opobo person has an Igbo blood flowing in them even when they claim ijaw
