So president Bola Tinubu has once again corrected another ojoro of parking all strategic and important national institutions to Northern Nigeria.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu splits the Nigerian College Of Aviation Technology, Zaria - Kaduna State into six campuses one in each of the six geopolitical zone of the country, to ensure efficiency, national coverage and smooth operations.

1. Zaria (North-West)
2. Yola. (North-East)
3. Ilorin (North-Central)
4. Akure (South-West)
5. Osubi (South-South)
6. Ebonyi (South-East)

This is true federalism, becauss it will this will enable every region get access to the college with ease. No more quota system, no more ojoro

For me, Decentralization of national institutions is a must for fairness and national unity.

And that's not all o. Just recently president Tinubu approves establishment of federal university in Southern Kaduna just ease the suffering of the people of that region from the hands of Northern Kaduna. The Southern Kaduna people mostly Christains have been marginalized for so many years by the Fulanis that conquered the Northern region but Tinubu is balancing everything.

You may recalled that he even Appointed General Christopher Musa as Chief of Defence Staff also from Southern Kaduna.

Tinubu mean business, and its like he wants to end that popular saying from Fulanis: "Na we get Nigeria", No more quota system, no more ojoro.

1. Average Nigerians will now have a better chance of being selected or admitted into the training...as opposed to northern favouritism.

2. Average Nigerian whom may not have cash for transportation to and from the north will now save that money for other things....like feeding, buying of books, etc.

3. As for living conditions...the new NCAT locations will bring developments..expand businesses, provide MASSIVE employments and add to the state's IGR.

In this case, Mr. President has done perfectly well, sir.

Let me respond to you as you listed what you think are advantages unlike others that resorted to insults.

1. While NCAT is the only govt owned (i think not sure) flying school in Nigeria, there are flying schools in the south that are private. There are like 3 or more in Lagos for example. NCAT admission list does not suggest any favouritism. You can go check it out yourself. Except you mean those northerners who are admitted are not qualified and the southerners admitted are overqualified which I don't see how creating more NCAT will solve. We have universities scattered all over the country and their national admission cut off was lowered because of northerners and it affected all universities without exception.

2. Flying school is not cheap. Whether north or south. I don't think flying school is something you'll say you're saving money for transport for. Besides, like I pointed out above, there are private flying schools in the south and there's one in Ilorin which I think belongs to govt though I'm not sure if it still belongs to them.

3. How will NCAT bring development and add to IGR? I don't get that part. It's a govt outfit not private. And most new govt institutions struggle with funding. All the universities started by GEJ in 2012 are still struggling till now. The govt is claiming to be broke and about to go bankrupt and the next best idea is to open more institutions that will require more from the lean resources of the country? Really?

It means six times more people can get the needed skills and training to become gainfully employed wether locally or internationally.

It means citizens of other regions can have equal access to education and employment in an industry that was an obvious monopoly before now.

Also establishing those schools lead to direct and indirect employment of six times more people either as staff or supporting businesses in the vicinity.

Replicating this move in many of tge vital sectors will do a lot to quell the agitation of marginalization that has plagued the country for decades.

It will also instill meritocracy a bit since the regions will likely put up their best candidates into those places instead of one dullard from one village getting in at the expense of brighter candidates from other places simply because he is connected.

Even the single campus is struggling to keep afloat due to funding constraints, yet they want to create five more out of it under the smokescreen of decentralisation.
