richie240:
You are simply projecting your bias, which was pretty obvious.
You were the first to link her crime to tribe.
What every normal human being saw was a criminal but it was only you that linked her offence to tribe.

I wonder how the seeking the conviction of a criminal has to do with 'tribal prejudice'.
Go back to page one and scroll again: before your comment, no one linked her crime to her tribe, but you were the first to awaken the tribal angle.

So if any of your kinsmen commit an offence, it amounts to (to borrow ur exact words) tribal prejudice if anyone seeks for justice??

vvvvv

So if she's convicted and sent to prison, that amounts to 'tribal prejudice' they??

Ndi-'nigerians' sef!
grin grin

My bloda u sef see am??
#victim mentality!
Of course, only a sentimental judgement will judge will send a tutor to prison for what I saw in that video. No need responding to you again on this issue. My assessment of you was spot on.
Bye.

Any small thing Una dey call nigeria 'zoo', but in the same 'saner climes' you are won't to mouth, if you slap your spouse na prison straight, talkless a toddler; but here in nigeria, so long as the perpetrator is "my bloda'', it's ok even if she kill somebody.

Small time u go say u go school, but d tribal bigotry oozing thru your una veins nor allow una see road.
Taaaa!
cool

You've cherry-picked my reply.
Can you beat your own son the same way this female did and not be arrested and prosecuted in 'saner climes' -how much less another person's child?
Simple!

Ishilove:
Semantics semantics, oga. Assault, slap. It's all semantics. We might as well take "legal action" against all the teachers that flogged us while growing up.

Keep speaking English.
....and as an experienced mother yiurself, it's highly disingenuous for you to call the action of this woman 'flog'.
You yourself have confessed with your own mouth in an earlier post that you'll be mad and create a scene, so let's stop playing the ostrich!

You're demonic with a brigade of demons inhabiting your cursed soul. You deserve to be chained on both your arms and legs before you're hanged upside down.
Did I justify her bad actions? Show just one post where I justified it. I already sensed the direction the narrative will be headed once sentimentality is allowed to take the front burner.
What I saw in that video bad as it may isn't rare in Nigeria. I want you to swear against this assertion.
If you're observant enough, you'd have noticed I've avoided specifying some form of child abuse to any ethnic group. It was deliberate so the focus can stay on this particular case and it be treated accordingly without giving a disproportionate penalty.
If you may;
Let's visit the roadside mechanic workshops and record how those master technicians treat(beat up with scars on their bodies) their underaged apprentices.
Let's visit homes and see how toddlers are almost suffocated just to get them to feed on non-nutritious pap.
Should I continue?
Thunder fire you there.
I didn't read whatever you wrote up there but know that justifying the ill treatment of three year old makes you evil and extremely wicked and a child abuser. See the mother's complaint. The teacher has damaged the boy's ears but you think the teacher was only helping the boy. Satan begone

It isn't my fault that in your emotional roller-coaster, you failed to realize that I didn't justify the teacher's wrongdoing by any means.
Here are latest facts that I've got from the boy's mother.
1. She's a co-worker with the same teacher of her boy within the same school premises.
2. This isn't the first time the teacher had hit the boy like that with other adults seeing it but no one confronting her. The boy's mother had only heard about her boy being hit but didn't take it seriously until a video was recorded to show her.
3. The school itself has serious issues. The management has poor relations with their staffs which has created a toxic environment. Other teachers (adults) saw that bad treatment and couldn't confront the teacher or report her to the school management. Something isn't right with the school.
4. The teacher is a habitual hitter who didn't know she was hurting the kid unfortunately. She had become desensitized by the silence of everyone around her. In my eyes, her only window of escape is that she appeared to be doing that without malice. The environment was an open one and his mother was a co-worker and readily available. She couldn't afford to do something she considered malicious in the open.
5. The boy is the biggest loser in all. His hearing has been negatively impacted from an unlikely quarter; someone who didn't think she was hurting him. He was failed by his teacher, the other adults around who didn't intervene, the school management and of all persons, his mother. I truly feel for him. He's just like the multitude of good people from all ethnic groups trapped inside Nigeria. Failed by all the sectors meant to protect and assist them.

My verdict on the issue after the latest information remains the same for the teacher. A sack will suffice followed by a reorientation on how to handle kids should be given to her.

The school management should be investigated on how they treat and relate to their staffs. The relationship would have been very terrible to warrant both the other staffs and the boy's mother avoiding to report to the management. This led to them being totally unaware of the teacher's innocent wrongdoing and putting a stop to it earlier.
The boys mother may likely lose her job from the school should the above be done. This means the government should get her another job where she won't feel victimized.

This is how I analyze and judge things. I'm not moved by sentiments. Once your actions can be traced to have come from a place of malice or bad intention, you should suffer for it.

Finally, for coming at me, I'll have to come at you too. To hell with you, you daughter of Jezebel.

For me, beating and rough handling killed me mentally and psychologically. I remember feeling more helpless and worthless with each beating from home. Resolve and self respect became water. I became so fluid and bendable and it extended into my adulthood.

I remember feeling like a dude more and more on the two occasions my female teacher slapped me extremely hard in front of the class for mistakenly handing her something with my left hand. I remember feeling unloved and respect and dignity exited my body when the entire class was just silent and nobody did anything. I just know she stopped. That was jss1. She might have been warned privately but nobody came to my front and defended me from her. I know I would have felt more human and dignified with rights if they did.
