This is a very ignorant conclusion. The role of Ifa in the selection process is to guide the kingmakers and not to help select a candidate from the blues. Ifa doesn’t just throw up a name. It’s more like a garbage in and garbage out process. The ruling house will present names to the kingmakers. They can present like 6,7 or 10 names depending on each town. Ifa will then be consulted on each names to determine which of them has a better and brighter prospect for the town. In simple terms, if the Family presents the names of only princes based in abroad, Ifa will simply guide the kingmakers in selecting which of them has a better prospect.
