Can Car Dealers Stop This New "Settlement" Thing!! Are You Mad?? by Driggs(op): 6:21pm On Jan 12, 2025
just say you are an agent.. wtf!!

Motor 4m
Settlement 150k.. I go swear for you..

The age long tradition is to either bill the seller who has a responsibility to give you a share because you brought the client to him or add money on top..

The whole settlement thing will be the beginning of the end of your businesses..

The same thing house agents are doing to frustrate house seekers is what you want to start abi??

Make una go head bush.. nor be life be this

You have choice...look for cars you don't have to settle ...that means you are buying from owners ...some of you think is easy to be combing the streets looking for those that wanna sell these cars . If they load that car you won't be able to buy it ...so the opted for settlement . I don't see anything wrong with that

I don't have any problem with it. It's just that it's done in a dubious manner.

Most times these agents pose as the direct seller, when the deal scales through they now expect you to settle them. You can only settle them if you contracted them personally to help you find a car and you both agree on a settlement fee.

Anything outside that is dubious.

Let me give you an example ...let's day Mr A is a dealer abd he has placed his car for 4.5m last...Then Mr B who is a middleman or agent now found the car and decided to advertise it . Recall Mr A told him the last price and ask him to add his own cos he is not prepared to settle anyone . Instead of Mr B to load the car with another N500k so that hexane get his cut....he decided to make it an open deal .Open deal means laying all the cards on the table ...he gives you owner last price without his own cut...he now plead with you to settle him with N150k ...Tell me in all honesty if you would prefer to buy that car for N5m or for N4.5m plus N150m?

If you understand this simple explanation you will never have issues with them again . Are you aware that he us risking something as a result of introducing that car to you? If is a stolen car ...he will be arrested and what he will spend at the end will be higher than what your settlement is . Is important you don't focus on there commidion only ...think about the risk too.

In my own case I don't load car...I simply lay the cards on the table ...I will be direct by demanding you settle me with a particular amount ...This wi enable you negotiate directly with car owner. Whatever agreement you reached with car owner doesn't concern my Commision cos if I had to load it ...I will earn more ...

In summary focus on the quality of the ride
Not there settlement . I have in the past renegotiated my commision ...nothing is fixed ...let's say he said 150k ...you can tell him you are ready to pay him 75k ...

You're saying nonsense. Why don't you state the terms and the fact that you will be settled to the buyer before the deal sails through? You're the one that does not understand what the OP is trying to illustrate. Most times, most of these greedy people get from both seller and buyer. If you require to be settled should it sail, say it beforehand.

I am not saying nonsense ...you are the one that couldn't comprehend . Every agent do state there settlement boldly ....watch most advert you will see the last price from owner abd agent settlement . If you didn't see such know that there are no middle men . If you were not told the terms and condition...you are at liberty to walk away ...

If they had, he would not have complained. Not everyone will be as straightforward as you are.
