You will see a lot of people giving you wrong advice here that it is a small income . Yet a lot of these people are online millionaires o... I'm real life, most of them are nothing to write home about.

Guy, if you are earning 500k just know that you are better than many many millions of people in Nigeria. No income is really enough... Find ways to add more... But then you didn't tell us your circumstances... Are you single or married? Are you sponsoring yourself or your siblings in further education? Do you actively cater for your parents? What other burdens are you bearing?
.... am single, I no dey cater for anybody, though I dey send my mama money most times.
Re: Is ₦650k Monthly Income Not Considered A Good Income? by Segzy19: 6:46pm On Jan 12, 2025
So Bro, just try to resize your spending...
You may need to stoop low for a while. Just focus on work and feeding.... Maybe your clothes, shoes, perfumes, dressing accessories, phones/accessories, gadgets are too expensive...
You may need to tone down if that's the case...

Cos a single guy earning 500k is good o. Do you know that many couples (husband and wife) don't even net up to 400k combined? Infact 300k...
Husband 140k, wife 120k yet a single you earns 500k... When it's time to marry, abeg marry person wey go fit complement your earnings o... No be person wey go drag you down... Ehen!

I wish you more blessings o.

Cheers

I will just ignore you, simply.
OP has meaningfully and reasonably engaged me further, and I have responded to him...

You can offer him your advice and not me.
Except you are one of the online millionaires I referred to.... I have no business with you.

Bye Bye

Kobojunkie:
Saying he is better than millions of Nigerians means absolutely nothing. I would think many of you would have realized that at this point. If he is unable to chart a way towards his dreams with what he makes, it does not matter whether he earns more than 140 million Nigerians because he still can't meet his own goals with what he makes. undecided

Stop with this disgusting tradition/religion of gauging your progress by considering the fate or plight of those less fortunate. It is a seriously disturbing behavior bothering on a mental problem too. undecided

No generator every night ...u won't die

If u have kids....DStv subscriptions should be during holidays....they wont die.....

If u have a car that u use daily to work that takes as little as 10litres per day ....that's roughly 10-11k per day and 220k per month minus Saturday and Sunday outing and servicing cost....Use public transport ..u won't die...

Buy satchet water instead of bottle...or check if ur tap water is drinkable...a friend told me he started taking his tap water when he calculated and found his cost on water was 80k month...

Are you serious with the no savings?
Even if your job may be secured, it's a cause for concern.
Have you drawn a budget to identify your cost drivers and see how to work around them?
I do hope you have investment vehicles before your family expanded.

I can authoritatively tell you that more than 70% of hard working and hustling Nigerians have never earned up to half a million in their lives...!

Like NEVER!

Many have never managed to save up to that amount in their earthly existence.

This is just the problem with social media today... Young people coming online to paint unrealistic financial pictures for others to get perturbed over.

How can a young person earning 700k claim that it's insufficient to live a good life?!!
Like what the fvck does that even mean?!!

Has the term good life changed meanings?!! Haba!!!

No wonder there is so much insecurity and desperation for wealth... Such nonsense like the topic above create these greedy and desperate menace to society.
Pls loud it, LOUDER!!!

It's not that easy, 3 kids in this present country is no jokes. Especially in lagos. Go around and price School fees, do you know the cost of fueling your car for a week, food etc. family men are trying honestly. House rent is still there as in minimum 3 bedroom. Omo

I agree it isn't easy but one has to look for means to reduce cost.
3 bedroom in a low scale area and 2 in an upscale area is realistic for such family o.
That car fueling, hhmm!
If his job is available in another state, he should move away from Lagos, e.g seek transfer to a branch in a low cost state.
I don't know what else to say before I'll be accused of insensitivity, but if he's over 40, he needs to take action as he wouldn't be too far from retirement (civil service) and retrenchment (private sector).

Chief, reality is different. I don't even believe in staying far from work because of cost, you will spend that money on transport, traffic, getting home late and tired etc. Omo it's not easy, companies won't just agree to transfer u because u want, u might even set urself up cos they feel u doing too much.
Last last inflation is a very bad thing.
