Obasa: "Tinubu Saw he Was recalcitrant, that broke the camel's back' - Oki by fergie001(mod): 9:14pm On Jan 13, 2025
Fouad Alade Oki hails from the royal Bamgbose Ologbon family in Isale Eko. He is an APC Chieftain and political strategist in the Party.

"Obasa's days were numbered a long time ago"

He saw himself as an Emperor that could not be advised or admonished. When Tinubu returned for the New Year, in his wisdom as leader and father of the Party in Lagos, he called everyone and saw that the former Rt Hon was recalcitrant and that broke the camel's back.

LoL

This man was accused in the past of misappropriation of funds, abuse of power and office yet, he was cheered on. He stepped on the toes of the emperor and he is yanked off.

Moral of Mr. Oki's story; you can do anything you like and you are spared, but once you try to fight the emperor, you will be cut down.
Re: Obasa: "Tinubu Saw he Was recalcitrant, that broke the camel's back' - Oki by Eriokanmi:
Is Fouad Alade Oki just seeing this? Why didn't he speak when tinubu used Obasa to dethrone ambode? We all knew Obasa was a super fraudulent man, just as all the members of the Lagos House of Assembly are. The difference is that, their cups are not yet full. They too can be used and dumped like tinubu did to obasa.

How the best performing governor after pa jakande in such a short time was removed by Tinubu, using mudashiru obasa to stop funds release for the state's massive projects he embarked on, made me know for sure that karma will visit him someday. After ambode's massive order, I've not seen new Blue BRT buses on Lagos roads again. All those ambode ordered came into the country in batches until the last batch was delivered during the 1st tenure of sanwoolu. Imagine same Obasa querying ambode over those buses as if the latter ate the money, just to find baseless excuses to hack the man.

I'm earnestly praying for seyi to vie for Lagos guber, hoping the news to which obasa sharply reacted, which also led to his impeachment wasn't a mere rumour. Then they'd know we're not fools in Lagos. The trap lagosians set for tinubu over his feud with fashola's second term as governor, when we dared him to remove fashola, will catch him this time. I, just like other lagosians voted sanwoolu at the state level to complete the rail project and embark on the 4th mainland bridge which he later dropped after using it to campaign with 8D images, littering the Lagos TV space in 2023 . We're wiser now.

By the way, news on Obasa's removal has really gladdened the heart of agege people today. They were jubilating as seen on my way from work this evening. They call him mr billboards cos that's all they see every election with no visible development in place. All the state assembly members are same. Desmond Eliot's six-foot plank bridge easily came to mind. They believe once elected, nobody dares touch them.

The main reason Obasa was removed was bcus he has his eyes on the governorship.....and na Tinubu dey choose, and he has chosen his son. He will be buried in Lagos state politics for ever.... except he joins the PDP and no automatic ticket for him. LoL

Could it be because of his governorship interest? It is a sign to warn others who might be eyeing the position of the next governor of Lagos State.

You think anything moves in Lagos without his say so? Tinubu is the leader and he deserves it.....fuad oki isn't a novice or lightweight as far as Lagos and APC SW politics is concerned.....he stood by ambode all through his ordeal and wad ready to take on the establishment before peace was allowed to reign afterwards.

Obasa made a big mistake breaking the first rule of power—"never outshine the master." In politics, especially under someone as influential as Tinubu, staying humble and loyal is key. By acting untouchable and refusing advice, he set himself up for trouble.
