He overstepped his boundaries during the last budget presentation. Delivering a rambling personal aggrandation speech was overblowing his rustic trumpet.

He can go quietly into the sunset. He has been very well rewarded for his service.

The main reason Obasa was removed was bcus he has his eyes on the governorship.....and na Tinubu dey choose, and he has chosen his son. He will be buried in Lagos state politics for ever.... except he joins the PDP and no automatic ticket for him. LoL
PDP how, where? He had better retire quietly and go and beg his enemies for forgiveness,if not he would be skinned alive and nothing would happen.....you think ambode was a fool for keeping quiet.

It seems you're in another world and not earth again. You've not read about the issue as at December last year. There was a news that said Tinubu called for a private discussion between Obasa and some APC leaders. The news claimed Tinubu was furious about Obasa. It was that day I knew that Obasa's days are numbered as a speaker. Thankfully my curiosity made manifest today.

What is going on in Lagos is not democracy but oligarchy where tigers tails cannot be touched no matter how you feel.

Obasa was speaker of Lagos State house of assembly for 10 years. That’s long enough for him to see himself as an emperor. It’s just human nature for power to corrupt and absolute power to corrupt absolutely.

Obasa was a beneficiary and is now a victim of Baba Sope politics.

Let him go and enjoy his loot in peace or if he has the balls, fight back

Eriokanmi:
Is Fouad Alade Oki just seeing this? Why didn't he speak when tinubu used Obasa to dethrone ambode? We all knew Obasa was a super fraudulent man, just as all the members of the Lagos House of Assembly are. The difference is that, their cups are not yet full. They too can be used and dumped like tinubu did to obasa.

How the best performing governor after pa jakande in such a short time was removed by Tinubu, using mudashiru obasa to stop funds release for the state's massive projects he embarked on, made me know for sure that karma will visit him someday. After ambode's massive order, I've not seen new Blue BRT buses in Lagos roads again. All those ambode ordered came into the country in batches until the last batch was delivered during the 1st tenure of sanwoolu. Imagine same Obasa querying ambode over those buses as if the latter ate the money, just to find baseless excuses to hack the man.

I'm earnestly praying for seyi to vie for Lagos guber, hoping the news to which obasa sharply reacted, which also led to his impeachment wasn't a mere rumour. Then they'd know we're not fools in Lagos. The trap lagosians set for tinubu over his feud with fashola's second term as governor, when we dared him to remove fashola, will catch him this time. I, just like other lagosians voted sanwoolu at the state level to complete the rail project and embark on the 4th mainland bridge which he later dropped after using it to campaign with 8D images, littering the Lagos TV space in 2023 . We're wiser now.

By the way, news on Obasa's removal has really gladdened the heart of agege people today. They were jubilating as seen on my way from work this evening. They call him mr billboards cos that's all they see every election with no visible development in place. All the state assembly members are same. Desmond Eliot's six-foot plank bridge easily came to mind. They believe once elected, nobody dares touch them.

"Obasa's days were numbered a long time ago"

He saw himself as an Emperor that could not be advised or admonished. When Tinubu returned for the New Year, in his wisdom as leader and father of the Party in Lagos, he called everyone and saw that the former Rt Hon was recalcitrant and that broke the camel's back.
He was an incorrigible mothafúcker - a typical Nigerian cool

You just rigmarole, said a lot of things while contradicting yourself.
Was obasa removed because of Tinubu or because of he is incompetent just like other Lagos assembly members.
Choose one.
If people are rejoicing he was removed, does that not mean his removal is a good thing if orchestrated by Tinubu
