That’s just palliative. The government may not be able to build new houses for the victims, but they can help with basic needs like feeding to ease the impact of the wildfire. Most people in that community are worth more than $770, so many of them might not even accept the assistance. It’s similar to what happens here in Nigeria, where not everyone queues up for palliatives.

We need to start focusing on making Nigeria a better place. If we don’t, there will come a time when governments in developed countries might begin to remove foreigners from their systems. This is why we must come together as Nigerians and work hard to fix our nation. If we act now, our future generations will enjoy a better Nigeria and won’t have to face racial abuse or discrimination abroad.
