I found a fix today!

Today, i disconnected most load from the battery while charging it (unlike before, I usually will plug everything for charging sake). This made the MPPT charge the battery beyond the 13.4V range. As I type this, my battery is completely charged, which is quite faster than any other day; there was never a day my battery got fully charged by 12pm in the afternoon. Now it’s fully charged, I have plugged the necessary appliances I want to charge till evening when the sun has set.

For the other guy experiencing this issue, kindly note that there is no issue with the Felicity controller, however, you will need to use fewer load on it during the day for it to attain its full charge voltage, and afterwards you can then connect your loads.

My findings is that my Felicity MPPT is not set well, I believe. The controller reads my battery as full, whereas the PWM keeps charging it because I was able to set it better.

My panels are 3parrallel connection of 200watts panels. It’s a LifePo4 battery. I am not just getting the settings of my MPPT controller yet. Can you help?

Especially with the Absorbtion voltage and Float voltage. It’s not like I don’t know these things I have set the values appropriately (14.4V and 13.6V respectively) but they didn’t help. I have tweaked in a lot of ways but still experiencing the same thing.

So what I do now like I saw someone here do too, was use the MPPT to charge it fast to that point where it will no longer charge the battery, and then continue charging with PWM for full charge and then connect back to MPPT for proper voltage regulation. This is what I’ll keep doing till I get it right.

But I’ll really appreciate if you can help me as well as I have seen you have such a vast knowledge on these things. Thanks.

main issue when the inverter is loaded with about 5kw it most will trip off the breaker or comes up with error 07 or when there is power and loads are on and they take light it just goes straight to error 07.

i am thinking of replacing the inverter with a 10kva but i want to be sure that will solve the issue and if i am to go with 10kva which other good brand will be okay? mostly 2 hisense black mirror AC (1.5 and 2hp are on it)

Note: i dont have problem with the battery because there is mostly power supply for now even though i am thinking of adding an extra 10kwh lithium regardless

Get a TBB inverter and have a rest of mind

It allows input, the Loads, No of loads, hours of usage in day and night are what you are allowed to input your data

From what I've heard, Welion's 6.2kva inverter is actually closer to 5kw.

You may need to replace with an inverter from Growatt, Deye, or SRNE.

1. Unlike tubular, Lifepo4 can be charged at up to 0.5c safely (in the case of a 100AH battery, that'd be 50A), though you'd generally want to keep it under ~0.3C for longevity purposes.

2. Yes, any decent hybrid inverter can be set to charge at a max current. The 40A rating is just the absolute maximum it can charge at, but you can set it to 20A for example.

Has anyone noticed how Lifepo4 batteries seems to have flooded the market? Followed a colleague to Alaba for some electrical purchases and couldn't but wonder the various types of Lifepo4 in different names ,shapes and sizes in the market.I hope guys have not started packaging rubbish from China in the name of Lifepo4 cells.

I agree that there is a significant proliferation of lithium batteries in the market. It is as expected because, based on the Lifecycle of the lithium technology market, it is at its Maturity phase, so we will continue to see trends of new lithium battery products (both genuine and sub-standard) in the market.

Yes u need to change the inverter to a higher capacity but in addition to that, u need to also look into the MCB u used, current close to 100h passing through it might also result in rise in temperature of the equipment

Please I need help with adding a single panel to a current setup.

Purpose of addition is to increase charge Amps, so battery can be fully charged before 12 PM and load usage during sunlight.

Current setup ( 12 volts system ) : 2 x 335 watt panel connected in parallel with Voc of 46 volt and 40 amps mppt charge controller with max voltage of 150v delivering around 20 amps.

Battery is 12v 172 amps Lifepo4

What size of single panel should be added and what panel connection is required for optimal performance?
