The easiest and fastest would be to go to the JAMB (State) office (not cyber cafe) in your state and pick up the form for change of data. This can be updated in 7 days.

I hope you know that JAMB and NYSC syncs the data on your NIN. You should have the details of your NIN in mind when changing your data with JAMB, else, you will pay for it again.
Hello Sam, the person was told that change of data on JAMB can’t be done. Kindly find the attached response from JAMB support team.

Hello,
What you want to do is "change of data"
I don't know if they have made changes this year, but I know you can correct user data such as "arrangement of name, wrong spelling, gender, State and LGA, etc.
It is less than N5k, don't know about now.

Pls, I'm scared I won't be able to serve, my details have been uploaded to the nysc senate and graduation list since 2018 and my regularization was approved 2019, infact I've collected my school certiface (B.sc), however I'm turning 30 next year 2025 and I'm afraid I won't be able to serve because I erronously added my middle name in the regularized document in jamb, kindly note that my results and NIN only have my first and last name with no middle name, pls can I proceed to register?
I was told there is no need to remove the middle name in jamb is that true?
If u had applied the year you graduated you won't have these names problems which are new rules. You caused it

Hello, please an urgent reply and assistance will be appreciated.

In 2017, I did change of name via an indemnity form with jamb when I gained admission. It wasn't effected until I was done with my first year clearance and I didn't print any admission letter as of then.
Now, the university have released the graduation list and the name published differs from the name on my jamb profile that has been corrected.
Example
Name on graduation list : Ajayi Jeremiah Lawrence
Name on Jamb: Ajayi Mayowa

In addition, while I tried to check if my name is on the matriculation list via jamb portal, it says its not and I should print out my admission letter. When I tried to do that, the message in the picture attached below is what I get.

Please note that, while I was going through my first year clearance, I was cleared on the basis that I attached an affidavit on confirmation of names that applies on all my documents.

Please, any assistance will be appreciated. Thank you.

This change of name differs clearly.
There's a link on JAMBs portal to review all payments and usage, check that first. You can also see the status there.
A successful change of name would also involve JAMB notifying your school of your REQUEST, then you perfect it at your school.

If your name has been changed on JAMB, reach out to the admission office at your school. Go with required documents, your school may effect it and resubmit your name for the next NYSC batch.

If JAMB has not effected the right name, start with JAMB.

Hope this helps

A need to obtain a Jamb Exemption letter.

I graduated from Unilag2020, already obtained my certificate from the school.

The day I went for the certificate, I thought my exemption letter would be received together, but I was disappointed.

I couldn't collect the letter, though. The school has shortlisted me on the JAMB portal with the information I provided since the year of my graduation, which I verified.

I have to register or 'some kind of 'with the jamb again before the letter will be ready for collection, I learnt.

I don't know how to go about this; I hope anyone can help me out.

Hello, thank you for responding and your insight.
I checked my usage on my portal and I can see the correction was done. However I'm unable to even print my admission letter. The picture below is the response when I try to print.

Is this as soon you click the menu for print admission or after you have entered your year of admission and registration number?

If it is before, I suggest that you visit the JAMB State office nearest to you. They resolve any JAMB issue...

If the error comes after entering your details, I suggest you review the information you entered. Check if your Reg. number was changed.

Hi Mr Samuel.

I completed my BSc degree from a foreign school via distance learning. Afterwards, I learnt that I won't be able to get NYSC exclusion letter and therefore can't do my Masters in Nigeria because the distance learning program wasn't completed with a Nigerian university.

I spoke with a private university in Nigeria, and they agreed to admit me via their HND conversion program, so I can start from 300 level. However, I have concerns about NYSC feasibility, because this admission they want to offer won't be through Jamb. I could have obtained Jamb DE form so the admission will be through Jamb, but since I didn't get that my first degree from a Nigerian university, I don't have a Jamb registration number for it to put on DE application either. The only Jamb reg number I have is for my ND, but the course is entirely different from my BSc course.

If I proceed with the admission from the Nigerian university without Jamb, can Jamb regularization be done? Or what is the best solution in my complicated case?

Thank you very much.

Good morning and thank you for your swift response. I'd take your advice and locate a jamb office to resolve this. Hopefully, they should know how to rectify this.
Do you think this issue is also a regularization issue and will it be possible to make a correction of name again?

Hello,
As far as NYSC is concerned, you must have a JAMB Reg. No. tied to your course of study. If this was before 2020, JAMB would allow you have a Reg. number without sitting for UTME.

Some schools help with regularisation of mismatched course of study. I am not sure about not having a JAMB Reg at all.

My suggestion:
1. Ask the school how they sorted other students who used your method without having issues with NYSC.

2. Find out about the process of DE and how long it will take to process DE.

The truth is, if you don't do it the right way, after your graduation, you will wait until JAMB sorts you out. Policies change with new administrations, you have to consider this, too

Thank you sooo much. Alternatively, will it be possible to do Jamb regularization for my existing BSc degree from the foreign institution? Can this be done at Jamb office in Lagos?

I believe if this can be done, then I can use the registration number to apply for DE to the Nigerian university and start from 300 level.

Please let me know if this is possible.
I really appreciate your assistance 🙏

I wrote jamb in 2016 and i didn't get admission into higher institution during that time. in 2019 i got admission into polytechnic without jamb , then after graduating in 2023 and went to jamb office on August 2024 and do jamb regularistration, and i backdated it to 2015 because i already wrote jamb in 2016 and i didn't want to use the old jamb again because the age was above 30 years, and it again me to serve in NYSC.
Thereafter i submit the 2015 jamb regularistration to my school and my school has approved it and uploaded my name in school portal, and the submit it to jamb state office. Nevertheless, the jamb state office uploaded my name, and before two days they went and remove my name from their portal uptill now them no upload my name again and don't know what is happening. Please i need help

If your current school offered you an admission through JAMB, your JAMB profile would have the record of your school. Although, the course of study can be different.

Having your name on both links for NYSC is a good thing! Are you sure you confirmed it on the JAMB matriculation list?
If yes, so, why didn't you register for NYSC?

Ordinarily, you should do JAMB regularization, but I'm surprised that your school went NYSC uploaded your info as submitted by your school.
Yes I'm on the jamb matriculation list. The reason I didn't previously register is because the previous school(the one I didn't choose and with a different course than what I'm graduating with) is on the matriculation list.

But I think you might be right, my assumption was that the details on the matric list would be the same on my admission letter and I could be wrong. I've only ever printed the admission letter in 2014.

I'll try to print the admission letter to confirm. I just tried printing it on mobile but it got stuck. Tried again with laptop and it's now asking for biometrics. Anyways, thank you very much for your help.

The regularization form is still in school. They've not uploaded it to State jamb yet. I've met with them this year, they said they're still on it. I submitted it in November.

For your registration number to be considered as VALID it must display your Admission status on JAMB Website, displaying result does not make it a valid registration number necessary for NYSC.
